Obviously I am new at this so I have a lot of questions. I know that you ladies get your blood work done to check hormone levels. How do you find a Dr to do this. I just cant imagine going to my Internist office to explain to her what I needed and why. I guess my question is, where do you go to get that done and what do have checked each time? Thanks in advance. Chelsea

i bit the bullet and went to my doctor.. honesty is the best policy and i do NOT play games with my body.. You may want to talk to other bodybuilders to see if they have particular doctors they recommend.. there always seems to be some doctors in the "sport" who will be more open to your lifestyle than others.. maybe not supportive, but open and honest is what you need.. and i HIGHLY suggest blood work post cycle, EVERY cycle..

Hope that helps a bit

Thanks for responding. I dont know that I really want to go to my regular DR because I just cant imagine as uptight as she seems to go to her for this and aside from that I dont know that I would want that in my records there in case I need to change insurance carriers or something since they would obviously request records from my regular Dr. If anyone on this forum lives in Dallas and would know of an understanding DR please let me know. THanks, Chelsea

You might just check the phone directory and just phone a Sports rehabilitation or whatever MD and ask for a referral to somebody in your area........They cannot do anything but help or say i don't know.....Btw i am not sure where Swale is but he is an Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) MD that posts here you could pm him and ask how to quickly find a physician.....

I just thought of something i go about every three months and just tell my regular MD that i want a full blood panel CBC which checks everything.......They can tell you how it looks as well as give you a copy of the report.......So far it has been o.k. for me...Most MD's will do it as long as you are paying or have insurance coverage,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

THanks, I was thinking about doing that. I have a baseline now because some mobile lab place came to our gym and offered blood work and I had everything done that was on the list. I was going to call that place and see if they had an office or something that I could go there but if not I thought I might just go to the Internist and ask for a complete physical so it wouldnt look as suspicious.
