Body Consultant??

Other than the utopian world where a doctor would advise you on cycling AAS, monitor bloods, recommend dosage adjustments, track results, recommend diet and caloric requirements for your personal fitness goals and the way you want to look, all the while keeping everything in check and working in optimal condition...

Does anyone know of a source, an adviser of sorts, that could do all of the above, with the exception that they are not an actual MD? And I could get the bloods drawn myself and send the results. Are there trainers that can be located that are knowledgable enough to do this? I know docs go to medical school for a reason, but I know there are others that have nearly all the knowledge, if not more, just not the pedigree. Especially in this niche world. Hell, I feel that I knew more than the doc that first prescribed my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) just from enjoying reading about it. I read this stuff for a hobby, maybe they golf. What I would like is to have Lance Armstrong's resources, but to look and feel better, not to ride like the wind.

Any input would be appreciated. Maybe this is already a cottage industry...if not, it should be.

'Ology and other boards have become my consultants. Just like you I was surprised at how little my doctor knew when I was prescribed testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). In fact, it was reading these types of boards that got me curious about my levels and how to approach talking to a doctor without having him thinking I was looking to get on test for the "wrong" reasons. Granted, most of the posters have little to no medical training, but in all honesty - most of what we have now in medicine was learned by trial and error. I can't see a better source of information that has this blend of experience and a steady stream of people doing just that - learning by experience.

My .02c :)

Agreed, and well said. But, even though I enjoy the reading and will never stop, it would be nice to have all that knowledge already distilled in one spot. A guy like Dan Duchaine...though maybe not as radical.

We can only dream. Who knows, maybe one day the powers that be will realize we're grownups and we should be able to do what we want to our bodies as long as we're not hurting others. But I wouldn't hold my breath. ;)

Again, in a utopian world. It's amazing how the belief is held that as long as we don't "allow" you to do it, then you won't. It makes much more sense to me to do whatever it is that you want in the safest way possible. Especially when it comes to not knowing for sure what you may be getting. I got some stuff one time that I swear looked like the label was written on with crayon.

No, you can't have it, and if you do, we obviously want you to potentially cause yourself damage...makes no sense at all.

Or maybe not?? I know you need 50 posts, but I didn't get an error message or otherwise. How is best to contact them?
