Brain Fog After First T Shot

Got some cyp from Maximus (RIP) earlier this year. Bottles labeled NewEra Pharmaceuticals.

Finally got around to starting my protocol last Sunday and injected 400mg. Took .5mg of Anast the following morning (and continued eod as prescribed).

For the next few of days my brain was in a serious fog - thinking was really fuzzy and I found it really hard to concentrate at work. The fuzziness cleared up slowly as the week progressed.

Is this a normal reaction to running test? It is injection day again and am wondering if I should expect the same effects to repeat themselves?

.5 Anastrozole EOD would be way too much for me and I get serious Brain Fog when I crash my E2. Also, injecting 400mg of Cyp is very high amount is that what they prescribed? The high end would be 200mg and your double that. I think you need to call Mike and discuss your protocol as it does not seem right.
If I was you and just starting out I would start slow and go low
100mg Test E5D
500 IU Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) day before test inject
.25 Anastrozole day after test injection

Something like that for a few weeks and go get you blood tests. I wish I started off with lower amounts and increased as needed instead of starting at the high range.

Wow 400mg . My friend that is not testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Thats more of cycle. The goal of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is run the least amount of test to get you in range without the need of any type of Aromatase inhibitor (AI). More is not better..

Everyone reacts differently to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). When I first started real testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I was already on cyp for about a year from my ex-gp (albeit in the very wrong dosage and no ancillaries). So for me I felt the effects after about the second or third day. If it's your first time ever pinning then you may have had your already skewed hpta further suppressed before you could notice a positive difference. I agree with the others here. Some people need higher dosages, but you don't start out high. You start low and see how you respond to the test, then follow up with bloodwork to asses where your levels are. According to the numbers combined with how you feel you increase/decrease from there.

Thanks guys - and sorry but you are all correct about the qty, it was 1 CC = 200mg. Not sure how the number 400 got into my head - guess the fog hasn't really lifted...

Anyway, have ran testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) before but stopped for awhile due to some financial uncertainty (after a solid course of pct), and never experience the "fog" feeling before. However, I had always requested nolva instead of adex because of cholesterol concerns (having heard that nolva is better on lipid counts). So am guessing you are right BZOERB, the adex is probably the culprit. Am going to lighten up to .125 eod and hopefully will get more work done at the office this week.

On the other hand, I gotta say the PIP I got from the New Era T was pretty phenomenal - took about 6 days to go away completely and can already feel the new injection spot getting nice and sore. Never had it last more than a couple of days before, so am still a little suspicious of that.

Nolva is a SERM and doesn't act on the aromatase enzyme the same as an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) does. It will help alleviate symptoms of gyno, but what it will not do is keep your estrogen in check.

Thats funny about the fog LOL. IMHO if you have to use any Aromatase inhibitor (AI) you're doing too much test. If you're doing 200 have your levels checked in about 6-8 wks and see where they're at and adjust from there. I testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at 200 and feel fine there, no Aromatase inhibitor (AI) or anything else needed well maybe one thing, my wife needs to be in optimum shape to handle the effects of the test! LOL
BTW I may be wrong about your test dose being too high if u need an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) as we're all different but it just seems logical to me

I went on the patch first for a month. Then on Test e for two weeks now for a total of about 6 week.s My mental foggyness was gone almost day one and has stayed away. I sleep better and libido was up. I have lost about 10-12lbs already with minimal change to diet and exericse. Im still not where I need to be but I would guess about a 40% improvement.

True - realized the difference after a little research and requested the switch to adex this go round - will be interesting to see what it does to the lipid counts.

I started my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) with Chip and he would not even entertain the thought of prescribing a protocol without an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and HCG. Of course when I asked him about running Nolva instead of Adex due to blood lipid issues, he made the switch without any further arguments or suggestions. So... not sure exactly what to say about that particular question. Am sure that getting levels checked periodically will be the best way to judge what needs to be done.

That's awesome - glad to hear the program is working for you.

So, just for the sake of posterity, the Monday morning after the second shot was nearly as bad as the first - totally in a fog. Could have sat there and stared at the computer screen all morning without doing a thing. I know, that probably sounds like a normal Monday for most folks, but this was worse and still occurred in spite of drastically cutting the Aromatase inhibitor (AI). Also the PIP was even worse on the second injection than the first.

So, for week three, I decided to break up the injections to do 100mg on Sunday morning and 100mg on Wednesday evening after work. Also switched injection spot to the glutes instead of the thigh. Result: no issues with fogginess or concentration and PIP was almost non-existent.
