You chews, you loose ? Looks like it. Gum may also aid in preventing weight gain.

A research team at Louisiana State University found chewing gum was associated with decreased feelings of hunger and cravings for sweets.
Researchers concluded that even small changes in carolic intake could have a significant impact in long term and suggest chewing SUGAR-FREE gum as an easy, practical tool for helping manage snack intake and reducing sweet attack cravings.
Nutritionist David Grotto recommends chewing gum between meals and snacks.

This is your brain on Gum.

Researchers at Baylor College of Medicine studied eight grade math students and found gum chewers scored better on tests (3% better).
Chewing gum appears to increase alertness, focus and concentration.
Northwestern University who examined functional magnetic resonance images of gum chewers and found increased activity in areas of the brain associated with memory and emotional responses.

Sugarless Gum even helps you prevent tooth decay. The American Dental Association says chewing sugarless gum for 20 minutes after meals can help prevent cavities.

I"ll definitely be doing more

We like to hear that you'll be BLOWING more in your life.

Another great thing to aid your cravings is Sugar-Free Jello. Even a small amount of lite cool whip is allowed and you'd be amazed how it will subside them.

I heard that gum can make you hungry? As you are chewing and salivating it tricks your brain into thinking it should be getting food, and your appetite increases. Im sure if you search you can find the study.

Yeap, Some studies show that, like almost every study there are always contradictions.. Some studies show the saliva that is produced while chewing goes down to the stomach, thus fooling the stomach into thinking there is food to be digested, and you feel hunger.

Other studies show that the muscular chewing action simulates eating and studies indicate this may send a message to the brain that the body has eaten.

In my opinion if you are thinking about curbing your appetite, you're probably already doing some things to help you get healthier.
In my case it does keep my mind off eating,
Or maybe that's just what I tell my self while I'm chewing. :spin:

I heard on the radio a few days ago that scientists are on the verge of creating three course gum.

On a side note, Extra desert delight Key Lime Pie is delicious. And the Strawberry shortcake actually tastes like it's supposed to. Very delicious.
