Saw my old time GP and showed me blood labs from 2 weeks ago. TT was 384 ng/dl with HCG mono protocol.
He told me my levels are basically the same with or without HCG. I told him I know, I don't feel a world of difference.
Told him the way I was for a year and a half of staying off TRT and he told me the tiredness e.t.c. is all psychological and to stay completely off everything for 3 months so he can run labs for baselines. He said its "depression" and that it does not reflect T levels. (My T levels were 265-288 ng/dl)
He also told me he has other patients that are at 288 ng/dl and they feel ok. Looks like another anti TRT GP.
2 weeks ago he told me to go on T shots if I felt I needed it today it was a different tune.
Told me the tiredness is depression and to take wellbutrin and increase my paxil( that I am currently weaning off of)....
all this to treat low T. This is ridiculous!!
Semen analysis came back good on HCG. He wants to know how all these tests come back when not on anything.
Told me to train even harder while off everything to fight the weight gain. This guy is close to 60 and has more muscle than me...
wtf is going on here ????

Bro he's 56 and his voice is deeper than mine and he works out all the time. Just one of those docs that thinks low T is all psychological....like the other anti TRT GP I went to.
It's different for you American guys....
Up here in Canada you have to be below 173 ng/dl TT to be considered "low"
I think you guys have a low end range of 348 ng/dl

This is like doctor 5 or 6 for you, time that you hire IMT and make the trip to the US to see the doc for the initial visit and do it right.

With every post you make I grow more and more convinced that socialized medicine is "No Bueno"!

This is a GP of mine....
looks like are a bunch are Anti-TRT....or at least to me.
Yes so far 2 GPs...anti TRT....one endo def. is, the other is on the fence about it (says take lowest dose as possible and that 384 ng/dl TT is normal)
He injects old guys(70 +) in his office but somehow he feels young guys don't need it.
This is bullshit!
I have a TRT doc here....but if I were in US would def. go to IMT.

I have T supplies....
This was the GP with his opinion. lol
If I were to rely on these guys and the endos I'd be screwed.

Am I missing something here ??
wtf ???
What/who decides what T level is officially "hypogonadism" ?
Is it below 173 ng/dl or below 300 ng/dl ?
I'm really bothered by all this b.s.!
I've been through hell....and it ain't looking too good!

I think the true question here is why do you keep going back to him? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

This was another GP....NOT THE SAME ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Understand now ????
2 weeks ago he told me to take T shots cause my LH was decent and there was no change or improvement.
Today it was totally different.............

If you have test and know what you're doing, why do you need to see a doctor? If I couldn't find a supportive endo I'd only go to the doctor's to get my bloods done. Why else would you need them?

that's what happened here. Did blood work and he tested for FSH/LH and T.T.
He saw the pituitary hormones suppressed and the T.T. levels about 100 ng/dl higher than when off everything. Was 273 ng/dl in September and LH 4 IU/L with FSH 2 IU/L.
Secretary called me at my house she said doc wanted to discuss test results with me.

Sucks to hear your story dude. I had a doc who was the self-proclaimed Testosterone guru in Toronto. He had me on 5 g of Androgel a day with no worry of sperm loss. After spending 4 ignorant months trying to conceive, I found this site and my life has changed. Like Shithead (?) mentioned, it might be worth it to see an anti-aging doc. The guy I see is outstanding - he's probably lurking somewhere on these forums. It costs $$, but it's your health!

MegaTron never replied back where I clarified that this recent office visit is a NEW GP and not the same one I was dealing with all these months. This new Gp told me 2 weeks ago: "so why don't you just go on Testosterone then" when he saw my labs.
Now its the opposite with increasing SSRI and adding wellbutrin to combat the fatigue e.t.c.
