Can Anavar Cause Yeast Infections?

I received this question in a PM from someone who would prefer to remain anonymous.

Looking at the individual chemistry of anavar and the biochemistry of the human body, I'm going to say no.

However I'm not 100% on this and I thought it was interesting.

Have you ever heard of anyone getting a yeast infection from anavar? Or being more susceptible to them on anavar?

Yes. Although not just Var, any AAS has the tendency to affect the balance vaginal bacteria specifically promoting the "bad" bacteria which can cause yeast infections. Supplementing with acidophilus will help balance the "good" and "bad" vaginal bacteria.

What about... digestive enzymes as well with food..do you think that would help also?

Might help :dunno:

The probiotics are what you really want for the proper bacterial balance. Acidophilus in particular is the one I have always seen recommended and have seen it work well for women having these issues.

You get yeast infections on var?

So if you are prone to it, eating yogurt would help.

The probiotic yogurts should help. If you ARE NOT prone to it, I would think the yogurt would help prevent it. If you ARE prone to it, I would think just picking up acidophilus at you local health food store would be cheaper in the long run and save you from getting sick of yogurt. ;)

Did not know this. I thought it might be the other way around but it does make sense if I look carefully at the chemistry. I was thinking the opposite.

Good to know!

I eat those little probiotic drinks every single morning. I've actually done in depth work in the laboratory on lantibiotics.

They are sooooo incredibly good for you. And they taste really good.

And I've never had a yeast infection ever and I'm in my 30's.

Although us being fitness freaks, we eat great anyway to prevent yeast infections.

My GF told me that she puts plain yogurt directly on it (like down there), she swears by it. I have never tried! I take probiotics, drink kombucha, and goodbelly - all good stuff which seems to keep the balance. Antibiotics can cause them, I do know that.

Yep, I have heard of doing that with yogurt also. A lot of women do that.
