I heated the mix at 60 degC for 20 min to help dissolve it further. I noticed a white coating on the 50cc polystyrene tube which seems to be etched into the plastic? Then I did a test with another tube and just BA and then I heated it for 10min at 60degC and I noticed some reaction with the plastic ?
Have I introduced some toxic plastic component to the fina mix. This is my first conversion and I only used 1 box so not a big loss?
Also can I use a polystyrene 50ml top filter .22um (cellulose acetate) to sterilize the final product [Corning cat# 430320]
This filter works well with oil since you can attach your lab vacume and you get a slow 1 drop /second but it will all eventually through.
