I don't understand how its "hard" for a male to contract it from a woman during intercourse.

Well 1st of all, if you're going to sleep around, the odds that a random straight woman at the bar would have HIV is much lower than the odds that any gay man you pick up would, this is not an anti gay comment just a fact about infection rates by group. As an aside, STRAIGHT MEN have a higher rate of HIV than straight women though both are much lower than gay men.

2nd vaginal intercourse is much less likely to allow transmission of the virus than anal intercourse as the lining of the anus has suface blood vessels that are likely to become ruptured during penetration (blood contact has MUCH MUCH higher odds of transmission that other bodily fluids) whereas the vagina is much less likely to bleed during sex (unless you're hung like John Holmes and ripping her apart and who on the internet isn't amirite?). You'd also most likely need to have some sort of cut or sore on your penis/groin area as well for her vaginal fluids to expose your blood to the virus.

No one is saying you cant get HIV from sex with a chick, just speaking about odds and what behaviors would be more likely to expose you to it.

Note: personally if I made the mistake of bangin a dirty skank, I'd be more worried about (and get myself tested for) syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea or even crabs for cryin out loud instead of HIV.

About 7 1/2 weeks after unprotected sex I went and got tested because I couldn't take it anymore. HIV test came back negative. Though she used another word at first and said it meant negative. Anyways, I was wondering if 500mg of test a week can present a false negative? Plan on going back in 4 weeks but will still be on cycle. I wonder if they'll notice that I've gotten bigger, lol.
