Can you sub black tea for water?

Like I mean as an everyday thing?
My friend got a job at this plant where they make tea. He can literally get me gallons of black tea. I LOVE black tea, and was wondering, can I start consuming a gallon per day of black tea instead of water??
And it's plain black tea, it literally has no calories, carbs or sugar. The only thing it has is 5g of sodium for the entire gallon. And technically it has water in it? Can I do this or would it screw me up somehow?

I'd worry about the caffeine, unless it's decaffeinated. A gallon of tea could pack some serious punch. I'd still try to squeeze in some water as it will give your kidneys a break. :)

A couple cups of tea a day would be ok though for sure.

When we talk about hydration. The best and only proper way to intake water, is just plain water. Soda, coffee, tea, juice doesnt count in my books as water intake, even though it does contain water.
