Canadians and Bloodwork

Question for the Canadians out there. Can you just walk in anywhere and get bloodwork done? How would I go about doing this in Canada...

Thanks

You need to get a referal from the doctor and he will check off a list of things he wants tested. I can't remember what User told me to ask for but it's a full male "something or other" if you want to get tested for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) or if you want to see where you stand on your natural test levels....

I believe it's a hormone panel you were implying.
But yes, most doctors I have seen are willing to test me for what I want. Whether it be glucose, white/red blood cells, cholesterol...

It depends on what you need or think you need to get tested, the doctor will write you a referal.

ya you need a requisition from a doc...you can get one at a walk in clinic easily although you will have to claiim fam history for certain tests or you will have to pay for the tests...just ask the doc you are seeing and they will let you know. (my pop is a doc, this is why i know this)
