Cant Grow :S

Ok so ive been training now for about 8 monthes and i have not grown hardly at all. My muscles have got harder and i look slightly better but im not getting the results i want.

Im 23 about 185 lbs and 6 ft 2" my diet is
Breakfast, coffee

Lunch, tuna salad

Dinner, steak and salad

and a light snack at night i also have 2 scooprs of weigh protien shake ans 1 scoop of creatunine per day.
Im getting to the point of thinking steriods might be the only way.

Also i have a layer of fat on my belly that i just cant shift, i do arounf 100 sit ups per day as well as 30 mins weight training per day.
My abs are rock solid under the fat but you can see them, i was wondering if the many legal fat loss or cutting pills are any good for this.
Advice really needed guys im lost at the moment

Whenever you aren't growing you need to up your calories. You MUST eat more.

How often do you work out, and is it high volume training? I doubt your lack of growing is due to this, but I'm curious to see your program.

If you want to see your abs you need to adjust your diet to a clean no processed diet. But losing fat and gaining mass are different things, and you need to choose one. If you are very careful with your diet you can do both, but you have to be extremely strict. Very clean food.

coffee isnt breakfast , it isnt a meal at all . you have to eat to grow and your diet is awfull . you need a mininum of 200 grams of protein a day and 300 would be better , add in whole grain / low glycemic carbs and some healthy fats from natty peanut butter,olive oil , flax oil , fish oil capsules , etc. .

no man. steroids are really never the only way, unless you want to be a pro PL or BB.

or if you have a hormonal problem...in which case doctor prescribed steroids (HRT/TRT) would be the answer, which is very possible.

but im sure once chopper got his diet down hed see better results.

in choppers case, i would get my diet in check, and lean down to an acceptable BF level (10%?) and then worry about gaining weight/size/strength.

I could go into more detail and specifics, but for now, that should serve as a general guideline.

I will leave you with this question: Are you eating ~1 gram of protein per lb bodyweight like researchers such as Dr. Lemon recommend?
 
thanks alot guys, that really helps no wonder ive never put on size.
I dont really want to be huge, just average size but well cut is my aim.
I thought by eating more i would put on to much bulk or fat i guess i was wrong
and also took some wrong advice.
Finally some advice from people who know what there talking about.

Im getting my diet sorted out asap, :)

I just have another question about working out, im a little unsure how much im suppost to be doing, i usually do about 30 to 45 mins 6 days a week with sunday off.

Mostly upper body, i might do 50 bench presses with 80KG, 50 Bisep curls but my dumb bells seem rather light to me, and 20 trisep, i do varius other things but these are the main ones id say.
this is my workout everyday, i guess im doing it wrong :S
once again thanks for the help and i know my questions might seem stupid but not matter how many things a read i seem to get mixed guidence so i thought people who had accually done it would be a better option.

Jeez..

You need to read the stickies in the training forum and try one of those out for a while.. If you're doing the same thing everyday you're never going to grow.. Muscle growth happens when you rest, not when you're training. You train to tear the muscle fibers, and those tears fill in when you're resting = muscle growth. If you train the same every day, no tissue is going to form.

FYI: Some people (me for one) only train each major bodypart once per week.
 
with your posts and reading some topics on here i realise ive been doing everything wrong no wonder i seen no results.

thats pretty much my stats...6'2'', 23 years old, 185 lbs. In high school I was about 165 lbs at 6'2'', got to college and went up to 210 straight whale fat all over me...now decently lean, but looking to drop a lil more fat and add a lil more muscle...I've been working out for a year exactly. Check out the pics section cuz I plan on posting my 1 year progess. I'm lookin for a lean bball type body not bulky.
