Cant have fun as a bodybuilder.

I actually went out 2 nights ago, and will never go out again. It made me miss a meal the next day because I woke up too late, and I also had to miss my workout because I got up too late, and had to go to work.

No more fun for me, because if I do have fun, I REALLY have to pay for it. Im also 2 reps weaker than last week because of it.

So im not getting married, not going out with friends anymore, and im barely going to see my own family. If life wants to be this hard, then let it be hard. I dont care anymore.

Thats all well and good if you actually have the talent to be a TOP LEVEL competive BB (assuming this post wasn't being sarcastic). But if not, you need to get some help. I USED to think the same way. Looking back, I was a complete idiot. I passed up jobs because the schedule would interfear a little with my training. Didn't go out with friends because I thought it would hamper recovery and generally put life on hold. WHAT A FUCKING MORON I WAS. I see guys do it all the time. In the last 6 months I have had two training clients tell me they were dropping out of colledge because they were having a hard time eating right because of the schedule. How many people actually make a living at being a BB? It is a pipe dream and most people need to just put down the pipe.

Lifting should enhance your life, not become it. If you are ready to toss friends and enjoying life to help with your training might I suggest you don't have a clue how to train and diet. It's not rocket science and is not a full time job. Eating is the tough part, and I train many people with BUSY schedules that fit everything in quite fine.

Damn right. I totally fuck off on the weekends, and while it's definitely detrimental to my lifting, I'm ENJOYING LIFE. I still keep protein over 300g/day even when I'm screwin around on the weekends. That's not so hard.

totally agree with IA...
i hate missing a workout and if i can i try to make it up but if not i jsut use it as a rest day..if it becomes a habit that your missing workouts and drinking too much then its not healthy..i think you can balance both

God bless. Listen to the man GM. I think you need to re-evaluate some things. You missed a meal but spent time with freinds and had a good time right??? Not too much of a trade off at all if you ask me.

judging by the majority of GM's posts, I would say he didn't have a life in the first place :insane2:

I will figure it out.

I guess its not a smart idea to go out the night before a work day.

Little mistakes really seem to hit me hard though. Other guys can eat like shit for a week and not lose a thing, but not me! No, I cant miss 1 damn meal or I get weak!

LOL, I hate this shit sometimes. I really do. I cant wait until the day when everything starts smoothing out. Its like in the past 2 years I have made so many mistakes, but in turn I have learned so damn much.

Im driving on a rough road, and cant wait until its over.

It's NEVER over. That is one of the points being made. It should be a continual evolving process, and if you put your life on hold waiting for it to be over, you will chew up a big chunk of living for nothing.

We all grow at individual rates, but I BET you still overtrain and under-eat or progress would be a little more consistent. I could be wrong.....

Thats the thing, NOT over training and undereating is imo an unobtainable paradigm. If you could "get there" or it's "over" so to speak, the human race wouldnt even exist...let alone GM's bodybuilding addiction. To think that theres always more to achieve is what keeps me in the game.

I kind of do it the other way, when the liftin isn't going so well I relax and have some "comfort food" (i.e. McDonalds), hang at the bar, or even on a very rare occasion have sex  .

I will some day.
trust me bruh i understand your desires..although my goal is totally about getting my total up..i still think you need to be a part of society and hae friends and have a good time..

if your friends are into drinking and bars that s fine meet up wit them early..no one says you need to close the place down..i remember the days when we used to start drinking before we headed to the bar..you dont need to be a part of that in ordert to have a good time
