Carbs

1 Ohm short of nirvana
To get some extra carbs I was thinking of throwing some oatmeal into a food procesor until it turns into powder and then adding it to my shakes at work. I don't have a blender at work otherwise I'd just put it in the blender with everything else. What do you guys think.

Also I may be taking insulin soon and I was thinking of using it as a prime carb source along with brown rice.

Thoughts? Not including whether I should use the insulin or not.
 
If im in a hurry sometimes, I will grind some oats and throw it in my shake as well. makes it alot thicker but doesnt effect the overall taste much. I say its a good idea!

I do the same! :)
 
A handfull of oats is great in shakes, on pb sands, ect. Oats are a complex carb so you might want to keep them out of your post-workout shake, as that one you want buring in as fast as possible with simple carbs to refuel.

Man when im on my breakfast looks like this .5c oats , 2 scoops protein(40g) and 1 cup nonfat milk all go in the blender blend it up and kill it!
