So get my elbows tucked paralell with my sides so to speak?

And Ive always heard about driving with your feet but how the fuck do you drive with your feet? If your pushing with your chest how do your feet come into play?

Sorry for the dumb questions

tucked on the way down and flaring out a little on the way back up.

Were you benching with your elbows flared out at a 90?

If I had this problem I would try going wide on the bench. I dont like arching my back so that would be my only other solution. I'd go index or middle fingers on the rings...see how that works, i bet your bench will go up and you'll feel it more in your chest.

Actually Im not sure how bad my elbows are flared out

We'll see what happens this weekend.

Is CGBP 230lbs pretty descent though? Like I said my hands for CGBP are only 3" apart when doing them

230 is decent, bet you got big tri's its heavy if your new in the game and fairly natural. Dont worry about weight though. Focus on form for now, let the weight come in time. size and hardness of your body is gonna come threw great form, great diet and good sleep.

? are you bouncing the bar off your chest a little or a lot. If you want a nasty burn try barely letting it touch or no touch at all.

I like my forefinger at the knurled ring for CGBP, I think your wrists may be at risk someday if you don't switch. JMO though.

Ive never been a bouncer, its either a light touch or within 1/4"

I do have some good sized tris. Im 6' 240lbs probably 24% BF

Mudge: Ive never had any kind of soreness or discomfort from CGBP with my hands only 3" apart. I do see people looking at me like WTF hows he putting that much up with his hands so close :druggie:

I can close grip 3 plates for over 10 reps, and being fragile as I am I just am careful with things because little injuries set me back a long time. I was closing in on a 500 raw press a couple years ago and an injured left wrist shut me down hard, then I lost my training partner - and so on. It took me 3 years to get back to where I was at that time, this is why I am careful.

I prefer to play it safe is all, there is no reason to put that much stress on the wrist. The tricep serves to extend the arm, you don't have to bend the wrist and over-stress it to accomplish this. JMO :)
