Ive been trying some different chest exercise and came across a youtube channel and this guys swears by dumbbell flys for building a good chest. My primary chest exrcies are flat barebell bench and dips I usually do some cable flys at the end of my workout but every time I try dumbbell flys my shoulder feels like its being rip out. Ive tried light weight high reps, moderate with low reps, different positions and always have the same results. Maybe it just dosent suit my bodytype but just wondering if anyone has this problem or can offer some advice.

These are one my favorite chest exercises, gives really good stretch i find i use 40 s and do after heavier bench and really works well for me maybe your not warmed up enough or your forms wrong try watching some vids on it mike quinn does a really good chest blast on video old bodybuilder but good luck bud

Yea I love flys But it does hurt my shoulder a bit. Super set them with champagnes To get a really good workout.

Same here my shoulders hurt too so I started doing chest flys on machine and woks great. Usually run 4 sets with 10-15 reps starting at 150lb and upping 10lb every new set also do a 110-130lb burnout after the 190

I have seen very good chest definition/size by
Adding dumbbell flys. Try them on the machine
Or throw some cable crossovers in to see how it
Goes. Not worth getting injured bro

Your right. Machine flys dont hurt my shoulders either. I may just stick with those and cables for flys now.
