need some chest training advice.... heres my problem. Ive been working out for about 2 yrs now off n on. im 6'3 205lbs, with approx 7% bodyfat. A few years ago i needed to recieve open heart surgery. after a full recovery i still tend to baby my chest, every other body part in ,strength is pretty decent. anyway my chest seems to fail entirely to early. i dont know what else to do ive tried many different approches. please someone with some knowledge give me a clue here lol.

bro, i had open heart surgery when i was 19 (freshman yr college). 1 year later i was fully recovered (weight, strength, size) and playing baseball. mentally, i had to overcome putting weights on my chest, but other than that everything came back and i started growing again. maybe its a mental block, but physically you should have recovered.

what was the surgery for anyway? mine was Atrial Septal Defect (i had hole in my heart)

If you can consider doing dips they are a great chest developer, once you get better at them try weighted dips

i agree b reel it was for the longest time a mental block i did overcome it for the most part but my prob was that at that point my chest was so far behind, but your def right. ill add more sets of dips in my routine. and b reel i had a primary inclosure, atrial septal defect. also my heart is oversized. thanks dude.

Throw in some supersets to help shock the muscles.
Ex: cable crossover superset with bench press, then next exercise incline bench and finish up with some dips.
