Hey guys/girls, i haven't been on this stie for that long but i really enjoy it. I am 6'2 215, and i am bulking to 225. I want to compete but i don't really want to look that skinny on stage. If i was my height at around 200 pounds would i look good?

At 6'2".....Simple answer is NO,

If you were Natural and competed you might get away with weighing 210 lb (completely dry and shredded).

you really think so? I think it would be alright because i know guys who compete at 185 and are 6'1, they looked pretty good. I just don't want to get too like 240 and feel all slugish

Iam 5'7 and 223, Iam going to compete at around 190. I just hate being in the middle of a weight class. I gained to much weight to do middleweights again. No matter what you weight you have to come in hard and dry. At 6'2 you should be at around 240 for a show in the super heavy class.IMO

depends on muscle bellies origin and insertions, genetics some people look bigger but dont weigh as much. just do a comp take lots of pictures and you will have your answer to how you will look and if you need to gain more size.

Thanks for the positive feedback MDC

NP bro, I have been there before and that is the advice I received and found it helpful, I am taller as well 6-0 and competed as low as 183 and still placed in the top 3 in natural contest.

Dude thats really wicked, you probably know since you've competed that its hard being tall going against smaller guys. What are your stats?

Hence making it tougher. Any way I am 6-0 235lbs 8.5% now, I have been dieting for a show in June. I started at 247lb 3 weeks ago. I would not mind being a few inches shorter but I love the height once you fill out. Can pretty much get as big as you want and dont have to worry about looking all squaty looking.

I am 5'9" and competed at the provincial level in Canada, placing third in my class at 192 (very lean). IMO, at my height and at that level, I would need another 10 pounds to win the class. Unfortunately, 10 lbs, puts me into the bottom of the heavyweights, which means choosing 198lbs or going up another notch to 210 or so.

I think that you would want to be substantially heavier than 200 at your height if you wish to progress to the next level.

at 6'2 bro unless you want to invest in lots of drugs you won't be at 240......i personally compete and i am 6'1 and at 200 you look really skinny, if you are in the right condition as far as bf% goes.....to look good you are going to have to be atlest 215.....my advice would be more along the lines of 220....just my 2 cents

The height is a disadvantage at times but like MDC says, once it fills out, it looks sick. I'm doing first show next week. I'm almost 6'5" and will be on stage ~235, which is lighter than I wanted to be but am doing everything to come in full, dry and lean. Sitting at 5% one week out, hopefully get on stage around 4.5% or less, figure 235 stretched over my long frame still won't look too bad, but the next one I'm shooting for a comp weight of 250-255, which means I'll get up to ~290 off season, fwiw.

This is amazing. Now that I started bodybuilding is the first time in my life that I feel that being short 5ft7in is a blessing

Nationally, I would agree that you would have to be 240 to do well, but for someone who's 6'2", I would say anywhere over 220 could win you any provincial show, provided you were bigtime ripped and dry as hell, and also had good genetics (shape, full, round muscle bellies).

5'7" and competing at 190.....that's good weight man!

At 5ft 7in I hope to try my hand at competing at around 200lbs, I am presently 226lbs at just over 10% bodyfat-what would my bodyfat percentage need to be to compete--6% or lower than that?
