Complete Noob

Hi ladies,

I'm 31 years old and am an avid runner and not much else. I run an hour a day 4-5 times a week. I'm wanting to do a complete body transformation while my husband is deployed and am a complete noob when it comes to supplements and weight training. My goal is to be nice and cut but not overly muscled. Think Gabrielle Reece circa 1993. ;) I've researched stacking but all the information seems to be geared toward men. I don't want to give up running but am willing to cut down if necessary. If you reply, please explain everything like I'm a 5 year old. :)

It will be really difficult to become overly muscled as a woman, even while lifting heavy weights. The overly muscled women you see are typically taking various forms of steroids. Adding heavier weights will add lean muscle and give you that cut look. Personally I would cut way back on the running, focus more on building lean muscle through weight training. A trainer would be really helpful in that area. Running is going to keep you lean and work against most of the lean muscle you are wanting to gain for the look you are describing.

A trainer was the first thing I thought of, but we live overseas in Germany and I don't speak the language. There's a gym on post but the "professionals" teach zumba and "boot camp", lol. My husband's co-worker competes in body-building as a hobby and he said for the look I was describing he thinks that a cutting agent, like Winstrol would help me achieve that. Any thoughts on that? Thanks for the feedback.

Also, I've noticed other users post their stats and eating habits so here's mine.

5'6"
140 lbs

I'm a vegetarian so a typical day for me is something like this.

Breakfast: Berry and spinach shake, 3/4 c. oatmeal
Mid-Morning: Plain greek yogurt
Lunch: 1/2 avacado and tomato on whole wheat toast, some sort of veg on the side
Mid-afternoon: Handful of nuts
Dinner: Another shake with soy protein

To be completely honest, if you aren't already in a consistent and good weight lifting program, (and with a tweaked diet) you aren't going to get gains from Winstrol. Once you have gotten into a routine for several months, and as a beginner, I think Anavar would be a better choice with less sides. However, you would have to commit to a good weight lifting routine that was done consistently and with progressively heavier weights. I always push myself until I can't do anymore, and then I do two more. The other thing is that you will need to include quite a bit more protein into your diet for lean muscle gains. Once you have diet and training in check for several months, add AAS at that point. But I wouldn't before then or you may see some sides that you weren't bargaining on, such as significant weight gain, water retention, and a really puffy look.

I just bought the Bowflex SelectTech Dumbbells so we'll see how much I'm able to put up w/o a spot. I know I'll have to join a gym at some point, but I'm hoping this is good jumping off point. You've given me a lot to think about - I have a lot of work ahead of me. Thanks for your feedback. Guess I'll check back in a few months to update on my progress.

Keep us updated! And good luck on your journey. You can see some really great progress within three months on just eating right and training well alone!!

Hi,

From what I see from your post your not eating nearly enough calories, vegetarian or not u need to consume enough calories, u won't build muscle if your not getting enough protein/calories.
You can add legumes/tofu as a source of protein. Do u eat animal products ? if u do u can add egg whites. Remember since your a vegaterian u should keep your workouts short/intense. This way u can help prevent any muscle mass...
I would stay away from long runs, instead u can maybe do HIIT 2-3 times a week & a good strength training routine... You don't need fancy gym equipment a few free weight will do just fine.

You certainly don't need Winstrol or any other drug to accomplish your goal, Tweak your diet/routine, get to know your body & what diet works best for u.

yes! I think Ms. P is on to something, Id really stop and try to consider what she is saying if I was you.

I was gonna say the same exact thing; 1/2 an avacado for lunch & a shake for dinner means your current running routine even before you add weight training that you are planning may be excessive since I think your having a lack in adequate nutrition, especially protein. so add calories and maybe slow down the cardio for now till u find your sweet spot ...

do u ever feel fatigued at times ?
