concern about increased heart rate

I've been on TRT for over a year how. I was on 200 mg Test cyp per week split in 2 doses, and 500 iu HCG 2x a week with .5 mg anastrozole 2x a week.

I was noticing frequent heartburn on this regimen so I dropped to 165 mg test cyp per week, 400 iu HCG 2x a week with .35 mg anastrozole 2x a week.

The heartburn is gone but I noticed my resting heart rate continues to sit in the high 70's/low 80's. I'm concerned about this and am thinking of lowering my doses even more. Should I be worried?

At 70-80 you are still in normal range. Lower is better, as it indicated better cardiovascular health. Your TRT dose may not be the cause of it being where it is, even though where it is isn't really a problem IMO.

Heartburn, acid reflux, and GERD can by themselves increase a resting heart rate, and I would say most times these issues are diet related. Although the heartburn is gone you could be having some digestive issues that might be causing it to be where it is.

Everything is a guessing game of course without blood work to see where everything is, TT, E2, etc etc. Don't just start raising or lowering dose in an attempt to fix the issue. My guess, based on your comment, is that the heartburn/possible digestive issue is causing heart rate to rise even though, like I said, 70-80 isnt something to worry about.

Just my .02

prior to lowering my dose, here are my results at 24 hours post injection

Testosterone, Serum 951 ng/dL (348 - 1197)
Estradiol <6.0 Low pg/mL (7.6 - 42.6) non sensitive test
Hematocrit 47.9 % (37.5 - 51.0)

I am concerned because my resting heart rate used to be lower

Houston, we have a problem!

I'd check to see if your estradiol is still in the gutter. There are a bunch of negatives that come from having too low of estradiol; tachycardia being one of them. You really aren't tachycardic per se, but if you used to have a resting rate of 50bpm, I would imagine that's a big part of your problem. :)

This^ Recheck that E2 and adjust AI from there. That reading is waaaaaayy too low!!!

What did your resting heart rate used to be on average?

Cardio vascular health isn't so much determined by the heart rate, it is determined by the amount of time it takes to come back to resting after an increase.

My resting heart rate was 70 before I started TRT.

2 months in and after getting back into the gym it's now 40-45 (I run alot).

My test : 1200
E2 : 15

I don't (anymore) take an AI as I am in the philosophy of " do more with less"

My current regimen is Test Cyp 165 mg/week in split dose. 400 iu HCG 2x a week and .25 mg anastrozole 2x a week

So my latest blood test results taken yesterday. (24 hours after injection)

Hematocrit 47.3 (37.5-51.0 %)
Testosterone, Serum 1024 (348-1197 ng/dL)
Estradiol 20.3 (7.6-42.6 pg/mL) non sensitive

Not sure how concerned I should be about the elevated heart rate

I would try dropping it for now. Please let your physician know before you make any changes :)

On a non-sensitive essay 30-50 is good. Anywhere in there that feels good.

Non sensitive essays are deceiving. Your E2 is most likely 10-15 pts lower than its showing.
