Continue With Letro?

I've been taking 2.5 mg of Letro per day for about 5 weeks now to clear up some gyno. Its been working well. The bumps under the nipples are getting softer and smaller, but there is still some there. How long can I continue with the Letro at 2.5 mg per day? Do I have to cut it off after a certain amount of time to avoid bigger problems?

Thanks.

How are you feeling? My hip starts getting this nasty ache when I have 0 estro. Quite uncomfortable feeling, not to mention depression, lack of energy, and no motivation or point in going to the gym to injure yourself. What you are doing is described as ablation therapy, there are much better protocols to get rid of gyno.
Treatment of gynecomastia with tamoxifen: A double-blind crossover study
ScienceDirect.com - Metabolism - Treatment of gynecomastia with tamoxifen: A double-blind crossover study
Benign asymptomatic or painful enlargement of the male breast is a common problem, postulated to be due to an increased estrogen/testosterone ratio or due to increased estrogenic or decreased androgenic stimulation via estrogen or androgen receptor interactions. Treatment at present consists of analgesic medication or surgery. However, treatment directed against the preponderance of estrogenic stimulation would seem to represent a more specific form of therapy. In the present double-blind crossover study, one-month courses of a placebo or the antiestrogen tamoxifen (10 mg given orally bid) were compared in random order. Seven of ten patients experienced a decrease in the size of their gynecomastia due to tamoxifen (P < 0.005). Overall, the decrease for gynecomastia for the whole group was significant (P < 0.01). There was no beneficial effect of placebo (P > 0.1). Additionally, all four patients with painful gynecomastia experienced symptomatic relief. There was no toxicity. The reduction of breast size was partial and may indicate the need for a longer course of therapy. A followup examination was performed in eight out of ten patients nine months to one year after discontinuing placebo and tamoxifen. There were no significant changes from the end of the initial study period except for one tamoxifen responder who developed a recurrence of breast tenderness after six months, and one nonresponder who demonstrated an increase in breast size and a new onset of tenderness after ten months. Therefore, antiestrogenic treatment with tamoxifen may represent a safe and effective mode of treatment for selected cases of cosmetically disturbing or painful gynecomastia.

Thanks Sworder. I always heard Letro was the way to go for gyno, so this is an interesting read. I noticed with the Letro every old injury I ever had is acting up again. Not horrible, just annoying. I'll read more on the protocal you listed.

Sworder nailed it ....reaped.
Estrogen is necessary for libido and for joint lube.
Your on a slippery slope . I d start to lower ur dose and when prudent get some a dex or aromas one to control estrogen,,,not nuke it...

Yes, letro is always mentioned. On a mg/mg basis it is not that much stronger than anastrozole to be honest with you. On a gyno reversal you definitely want to bring your estrogen down, is it required to have it near non existent? Nope! I prefer letrozole as my Aromatase inhibitor (AI) on cycle, I use 0.5mg or 1mg EOD depending on the cycle.

I prefer the SERM route coupled with some other ancillaries. Did a letro blast once and stopped after a week. It was horrible!

How is it going in the gym for ya?

Energy level during workouts is moderate, but past injuries to the knees and shoulders have been acting up. Haven't been going to heavy with the weights as a precautionary measure. Biggest complaint about the Letro is it definately kills the libido. Hopefully that side effect will end soon after I stop taking it.

As stated, Letro nukes the estrogen in your body.

I wouldnt recommend Letro unless you are very prone to symptoms such as gyno as ect
