Could this be trt related?

Hello! I've been on TRT for two weeks now. I get pinned on Mondays and i've noticed both weeks when i wake up thursday morning it feels like i have a lump in my throat while swallowing. No pain associated with it just an uncomfortable lump so to speak. Both weeks its been completely gone by saturday morning. Could this be tied to the treatment in any way? When i mentioned it to the NP she was quick to say it was not a side effect.

Doesn't sound related.

Why aren't you pinning yourself?

If I go in to get pinned insurance covers 100%. To do it at home costs $200.00 a month. So right now it makes more since just to make a weekly run by the docs office.

TrT can exacerbate sleep issues possibly swell your uvula. Don't want to scare you. Better safe then sorry. Have you done a sleep study

No I've never had a sleep study. Up until now I've never really had a reason to have one done. I'll have to look into this alittle more in depth. Definitely alittle odd that both weeks its came and gone at the exact same time.

Also it feels like its lower then the uvula. More down by the adams apple. Both times I've checked in the mirror and throat looked good as far as tonsils and uvula go.

Well I'm not going to blast my clinics name here online but I'm now alittle skeptical on how they treat there patients. I went and got pinned yesterday being my third consecutive week. Mentioned the issue with my throat and asked had they ever heard of this. Got the quick response of no but I could always take benadryll to see if that helps. If it happens again this week that they are going to discontinue my treatment and say I'm not a trt candidate. I'm not to happy with that response cause I'm already feeling better on trt and for them to say 3 weeks ago that I'm definetly in need of it and to just close the door on me really pisses me off. Guess now I can just sit back and hope that my throat doesn't flare up Thursday and I can continue treatment.
