I've never really done cutting but since my wieght has been getting up there I've decided that I need to shed a few pounds.

Typical workouts consist of 5-6 days a week of heavy weight, low reps tpypically 4-5 sets. I try and ht a different set of muscles each day. Chest one day, legs the next, back, shoulder, abs etc.

Diet is in order but obviously cutbacks would be made on certain carbs and minimal intake on sugars etc.

I was thinking of adding 3-4 days a week of early morning cardio in addition to my weight program. Cardio in the a.m say 8 and then weights would be at 2-3

Sound good? Major concern or fear is that the additin of cardio will begin to eat away muscle and not fat. Any help on how to overcome this fear?

I would cut back on ur days at the gym to say 4 and add in 3 cardio sessions a week. then slowly increase ur cardio sessions per week

PM me if you have any questions. I am available for online training

i agree with the above two.
decrease the amount of days you lift, increase protein, lower carbs.
and when you do cardio, try interval training.

best way to run on a treadmill is to start at 3 mph and go up .5mph every minute till you hit a maximum effort speed.. for me its 8 then go down .5 every minute or 1 mph every minute... thats just my 2 cents

its all about burning more cals than you take in..im sure doing any method would work fine..experiment and see which works best for you

HIIT is a good way to keep muscle and burn fat.
Plenty of articles out there on different HIIT techniques

I'll agree with that. Tons of people talk about the great effects of HIIT including suposed free test increases as well . . .
