should help my form a TON. Don't bring that ass down and keep legs at 90 degree angle for maximum use
ed is a stud and thats no shit lol . to pull the kinds of numbers he did as a 220 lifter puts him tops all time in my bookpullinbig said:the 90° thing is not he point, keeping your ass down is. if you got long arms you wont be as deep in the hole. short arms and you'll be on down there. too many guys gals take the easy route out of the hole instead of staying under the bar. save the back and hams for lockout.
the same thing applies to squats. lead with your head and not with your ass.
hell that applies to life too.
heres a great clip of one of the greatest pullers of all time. watch how he sits back before he pulls. legs under him until he reaches his knees then he locks it out.

pullinbig said:nothing to be confused about. its more of a press at the bottom (just like a leg press) and a pull at the top. you ass dont fly up on leg presses so try to do the same on deads.

I wish I could find the article I read a year ago, yeah, he was one of the famous west side dudes, can't remember which, but it covered the leaning back slightly, starting out with the weight out front slightly, and pulling up and back at the same time. I think that exact lift in that clip is the way he was describing. He also mentioned that the legs shouldn't be bent any more than necessary, because the strength is in your back, but that your chin has to be behind the bar... have to find that perfect sweet spot. That is a classic lift for sureDaLinkWent said:Good tip! I see frm the cliip you posted on sitting back. Can't wait to throw it in motion next week!

i really think that was my problem-my ass was getting out in front of me and i was dumping it on my back...
whats the easiest way to fix this PB? i would think heavy core work, along with building the quads...
for me adding close stance pause squats has helped a lot
along with that im not saying maxx every week but if your not occasionally missing lifts your not training heavy enough . it may be the 5th rep in a set of 5 or a single .pullinbig said:guys this stuff is not rocket science. its fucking weight lifting. if it was rocket science all the rocket scientists would be big as hell and all the dumbasses like me would be weak and scranny. too many guys outsmarting themselves out of bigger numbers with too much information. just dummy up and lift. lifting is as about as primal as you get. you either get the rep or you dont. a litte common sense goes a long long way.
