Dear Moderators: newbies

It has come to my attention that there is a HUGE problem with new members not reading/following rules/stickies. (posting sources, asking for sources, asking questions that can easily be found using search functions). I have an idea that might cut back on all of these idiodic posts that we feel like we have a duty to respond to. I think at time of start-up of a new account, there should be a test (easy) that each new member has to take prior to being able to post threads. Provide them with the rules of the forum, and have multiple choice test at the end. It doesnt have to be anything hard, just something that makes sure they know what is acceptable and what is not.

And if they pass the test but fail to adhere to the rules the account should be suspended from posting activity for a period of time to let them understand we don't play that shit here!! I think it's a great idea but not sure if it will get implemented. I really am tired every time someone posts pinnacles or amls websites since I don't want 2 of my sources to get shut down. I'd do whatever it took to keep them safe since they provide us with a great service and shoulder a great deal of risk.

Speaking of reading.... Sounds like a good post for the "one on one with the staff" forum. This won't stop people who are inpatient. You might filter 15- 20% IMO.

You are correct, I should have posted this in the one on one forum. For some reason, I consider this my "home" forum and really even look at the other ones lol. I applogize.

As stated. Whos got the time to monitor all that?
And your not gonna be filtering out too many threads.

If most things have already been answered here before, and you want to eliminate these new posts, then what would be the purpose of people signing up and posting at all then?

Lets not play stupid. He is mainly referring to source related questions. For example, the guy who (today) posted the direct link to pinns website. As well as the many others who post shipping information, and lets not forget the ones who post source locations.

What a mess that source location one was!!! Almost gave me a heart attack and I'm not associated with them in any way lol.

and who has time to follow through & monitor all that?

All it takes is to press that little triangle with exclamation mark in it and report a post. Once you report a post it's in the Mods' hands to do with as they see fit. You don't have to play James Bond and go around scouring the forums for activity that goes against board policies, but I believe it's in the rules to report posts you come across that violate board rules. I know I do at least. I don't want to be a snitch and my purpose isn't to get anyone in trouble. My purpose is to stick to the rules that I agreed to follow when I registered my account and to protect the UGLs and sources since I don't want to see any of them get shut down. I may have to order from them one day and I'd rather them stay safe since they're the ones taking 90% of the risk, not you or I as the end customers.

Monitor??? What is there to monitor? You pass the test (it would be automatic when you join), then you can post. If you don't pass, the system won't let you post. No monitoring involved. It would be sor of like PMing privlages. The system doesn't allow you to PM until 50 posts.

Exactly, consider it like an equivalency test or passing HS or GED. It's just a requirement that makes sure you've read the rules and stickies (as everyone should) and its a checks and balances measure so no one can complain "well I didn't read the stickies or rules so I didn't know" (not that that's a valid excuse in my book anyway) plus it has the ability to limit all this troll and bot activity we've been getting lately. It's a great idea with very few if any cons to it.

*sorry that little rant wasn't directed towards you buddy

The purpose of these forums is to pass on information not necessarily to REPEAT it to every new member who makes a new thread thinking they're special. The purpose of posting is to ask questions AFTER you've done the research to seek clarification NOT to be spoon fed information. If you want to be spoon fed, go hire a hooker and she'll have no qualms doing whatever you want since she's actually getting paid. Most ppl in here are in here voluntarily giving away information to help others without the expectation of anything in return. But just like they did research and trials and errors new members should also. Posting can also help tailor the information to your SPECIFIC goals but how can we do that if most new members come up with stupid oral only cycles or leave out stats and training history? A simple test can help alleviate the problem of knowing what information is pertinent to tailoring a cycle to your goals and knowing that taking a dbol only cycle is pointless, and making sure the right information makes it to the proper hands. For God's sake I just read thread in the pro hormone section about a 15yo wanting to take igf and other peptides. A FUCKING 15yo!!!!!!!!! Also new studies are being done, new technology is available, and recommendations are being updated all the time so posting is a way of passing on this new information. But how many ppl in here do you think actually read peer-reviewed studies or do any sort of research at all? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to read a peer-reviewed study (just a brain and willingness to learn).

You're coming across with the mentality that this is a completely public and free forum when this is not the case. This is a private forum, owned by a private individual, who has made his rules and expectations very clear in the rules. Abide by them, as you agreed to in registering, and you'll reap the rewards. But this is not a day care where you can do as you please, fail to do research, troll away, or put the safety of our sources and UGLs in jeopardy without repercussion. You're argument is also a straw man argument since jkr2020788 never argued against anyone "posting at all" he is simply arguing a method to ensure adherence to our rules.

I have noticed the same thing, its not a problem helping out others but all the source checks are getting annoying.

Hey guys I'm looking for some testosterone and trenbolone. This will be my first cycle and I need to know where to get it. Thanks in advance. Oh and Zyzz rocks!

:)

Teh best way to stop this is reverse pin the ip address of these idiots send some one like 4everbulking to their door step and advise them that "We are watching u" lmao

I agree with this if there is a way to do it. I was very tempted to post and ask for a source when I first started, but I read a post of ae guy getting yelled at, so I didn't lol. I'm all for testing!

1. How old do you need to be before your first cycle?
2. Are we an open source board?
3. Have you looked at the stickys?

Simple :)
