bro's i drink alot of coffee throughout the course of the day
one of my addictions lol

always wondering if caffeine enhances anything as i know like pre workout shit consist of tons of caffeine as well
just curious thats all

This is one of those topics that has different science backing both sides. Some say good some say baaaddd.

Like with anything it must be done with moderation. Let face it ECA stacks and most pre-workout drinks contain considerable caffeine. I simply to try to cycle off any product including coffee every once in a while.

10 cups a day is way too much. I used to take a pre-workout and have to buy a new container of it every week for $40. Took a break from it, now I have to use less for the same effect and I save a shit ton of money I can spend on other things.

Caffeine is an appetite suppressant, which is bad. As mentioned it will also raise cortisol levels, which will cause you to retain water and store fat from what you do wind up eating. There's at least one positive thing about caffeine that I'm aware of, though. Taking caffeine (the equivalent of eight cups of coffee) immediately after a workout helps rebuild glycogen and convert protein to muscle. However, this study was done with a small number of people (I want to say n < 16). I can dig this up if you want it.

I do better off it. When I get lethargic, I try to find what is wrong with my diet. These days if I need stimulation, I actually just get a little dextrose or sucrose.

Your right thats why I tend to steer clear of it.

The studies done on atheletes and bodybuilders have always been conflicting. In some it improves performance and in others it reduces muscle growth... they seem to conclude that it varies from person to person. Too many other variables such as how fast the body breaks it down. etc.

I'd be concerned with dehydration and cramping w/ 8 cups a day. You have to counter it with at least 8 cups of water.
