So my situation is this... I get a lot of food provided for me free.. but there are a few things i need to buy more of AKA chicken potatoes oatmeal tuna turkey eggs... all in all with what i get provided for me and buying a few essentials i probably wont have to spend more than a cpl hundred per month to have a respectable diet.. What i would like to do eventually is do 3js carb cycle program but im thinking food/supps is gonna cost like 600-800 per mo which at that point is a budgeting issue... I started lifting like a year ago and cut down to 140lbs and 10% bf.. im 160lbs and im 12-14% currently.. im only 5'7.5.. my metabolism is insanely fast so ive been trying to eat as lean as possible but will scarf whatever i can stomach sometimes and chow on weight gain shakes post workout/before sleep as its really hard for me to actually gain weight if i do not do this... if budgeting is an issue should i just bulk eating whatever i can til i hit 180 or so then worry about cutting? any input would be greatly appreciated <3

PS. i know the carb cycle is the way to go but i dont want to fully dedicate myself to it as cost will be an issue and i dont want to have to half ass it while learning it cause then whats the point

Cost isn't that high man. I am 6'1 220lbs and my monthly expenses on food is just 350. Just got to buy the right stuff. Best investment I've made though is buying a bunch o chickens for free eggs

Weight Gainer shakes? And having problems on a budget? I wonder why. Shit i'm 5'4, smaller then you, and can easy consume my 3500-4000 calories a day and still be hungry. I only spend around 150$ a month. But I travel to two stores buying the no named brand products. A lot of beans, rice, oatmeal, pasta, tuna, lean beef, milk, eggs, cottage cheese, cereal, chicken, tuna, sweet potatoes. Just go find big bags of non name brand items, most of the stuff isn't instance so thats why its cheaper.

I don't get it. His title says diet advice need <3

What is that? Like under 300 dollar budget?

LMFAO... Makes sense... Who could live off of a 300 dollar budget for food in this game...

I managed to eat a box of sweeties at work within a month and, I think I eat about a strip loin a week.

If I wasnt a cook, I wouldnt even want to know what my grocery bill would be. 300/wk mos def!

But to answer your question Juice, I buy a lot of bulk items...I buy my chicken frozen in bulk which saves me a decent chunk of change, find coupons when you can, buy your sypplements in bulk as well...
And your carbs usually aren't that expensive...now if you eat steak ALL the time, then yea you will be lettin go of some serious change...

If you're just learning how to cook, a crock pot and casserole dish will be some handy weapons in the kitchen, they saved my life when I first moved out!

I got 2 buddies that I put in my money with then Go to Sam's Club when we get there we each grab a cart we usually fill up each cart then one of us stays in line with the three carts while the other two take another cart. The looks we get when we drop like $1000 on food then have to make 2 trips to the car (PRICELESS). Just over $330 a month and the only thing I gotta buy is milk once a week. I always have enough food to feed the BEAST and have friends over on the weekend.
