Go to nutrition tab and check out his off season diet & precontest diet. I eat almost as much if not more than this guy and I cant gain more than 190!!
They say 500 extra calories a day turns into 1lb. a week. Whats going on here? Is this his real diet???

you have to EAT if you want to bulk up, if 3500 or 4000 calories isn't making you gain, go to 5000 calories. keep eating and DO NOT STOP.

This is what I have eaten so far today, and its not even 1/2 way done..!!

Meal1: Breakfast 2 whole wheat bagels, untoasted, plain

Meal 2: Pre Lunch 2 turkey sandwich , plain , wheat/turkey & 2 cups of cottage cheese 98% fat free

Meal 3 (LUNCH): 8oz Beef skirt steak, 8oz chicken breast, 2cups brown rice, 5 eggs

Eat and you will become a MONSTER.. I started @ 155 3 weeks ago and i'm up to 175 and my bf% hasn't raised at all.. and i'm @ 13.8% which isn't that great but i'm doing OK for bulking

On a daily average I eat about 1lb of cottage cheese, 5 - 10 eggs, 1 cup of peanutbutter, 20-30oz of chicken or beef, almost 1 loaf of bread and 1-2 cups of oats.. just eat eat eat and work out hard and you will be ok.

First of all his weight is exaggerated, for the sake of marketing purposes (i seem him in all kinds of ads and heavier weights make your supplements look better). Phil heath competed at 220lbs and you couldn't even compare the two and they are similar in height.

2nd of all I doubt that's his actual diet.

20lbs in 3 weeks... Bullshit.

Strega:

Ill have you know that I gained another 3lbs since the post, and I am at 178lbs right now .. weighed myself after fasting this morning..

I also take insulin prior to each meal and keep my blood sugar levels very low (between 90-120) so that my meals are being processed very efficiently.. before I found out I was diabetic I couldn't gain weight for shit.. now I am maxing every workout and doing cardio 3 days a week for 1hr, only eating very lean and clean and A LOT.. so its very possible to gain 20lbs in 3 weeks.. i could have probably gained more but i don't want to get fat.

Meals so far today:

6:00AM - 3 egg whites, 1 whole wheat bagel, 1 cup cottage cheese
9:00AM - 10oz Carne Asada, 10 corn tortilla
11:00AM - 3 cups quick oats, eaten raw

I will probably eat within the day another 2lbs of chicken and/or carne asada mixed, I eat daily about 1lb of cottage cheese, 1loaf of wheat bread, 2-3oz of peanutbutter.. anything is possible w/ eating.

20 lbs 3 weeks is very possible im up 13 and tomorrow will be 3 weeks...Im only runing test at 500 mgs and tren at 75 mg eod...not much gear but getting big!

Oh, nobody claimed it was 100% real muscle.

I said my bodyfat hasn't gone up, my stregnth sure as hell has.. and i'm not running any cycles currently.

btw since my last post.. 1lb of chicken breast 20 corn tortilla -_-.. I really need to STOP eating corn tortillas and switch them out for wheat, but i got on the corn tortilla kick today i dont know why.. weighed myself and im' 182lbs but i'm sure its just bloat from the food

Your BF% may not yet be up, but at that pace it most definately will be along with your waistline and alot of water.

I can only think of kids going through major growth spurts that grow about 1/4th that rate. 20lbs in 3 weeks is not a good thing.

20 lbs of muscle is very unlikely to be gained in 3 weeks if not impossible. Granted - depending on how you use insulin it would help. I would be very willing to bet a minimum of half of the weight gain is water.

While taking in ridiculous amounts of calories will help you bulk - there is a limit to what your body will be able to use. Have you hit yours? I suppose only you may know that - however take a look at your diet - IMO I would work on how it's balanced.

my body is doing fine, i doubt i've "gained 20 pounds of food" i shit too god damn much for that to be true.. i eat 3-4 cups of oats a day.. you are very small and lean i dont think you'd really know about it

nice body though

maximum natural rate for tissue synthesis is in the neighborhood of 2 pounds per month. This number is slightly higher for noobs, for various reasons. Insulin could help as well.

You have supposedly gained 23 pounds in this time.

What exactly are you suggesting you have gained?

I suppose you can provide supporting articles for this? 2 pounds per month sounds extremely low, I would say probably 1/3 is water 1/3 is actual food waiting to be processed and 1/3 is muscle.. or within that range

this morning I am 173, down 8 pounds from my highest yesterday, so obviously i have quite a bit of water.

If those calcs were true, or close, that would leave about 2lbs per week of muscle gain, or 6 pounds this month.. i don't think that is unreasonable

the fact that you
shit too god damn much for that to be true.
Might be telling you something about how much of those calories are being flushed away, along with the money that purchased them. I do understand what you are attempting to do - however you may want to take a look at your diet and try to balance it as well as tone down the calories. Like Suareezay said - tissue synthesis is going to be below 4lbs a month (even if you just started lifting and eating) - unless you are using insulin to help you with this. So I guess the only question would be are you using the insulin for anabolic reasons?

I am using insulin for diabetic reasons, which could also have an anabolic effect.

The normal human body only produces so much insulin, mine produces none, therefor I must artificially inject.

Benefit is I can inject prior to every meal, meaning I am getting much more insulin than the average person, and my meals are being obliterated by the influx of insulin.

When your blood sugars are high it means your body isn't processing the nutrients properly (lack of insulin), when the sugars are low (naturally) it means that your body has processed the nutrients and is no longer fluctuating due to the influx of food that you have introduced into your body and therefor your bloodstream. I am , essentially, introducing extra insulin into the bloodstream to rapidly process the sugars.

If you were to do a blood test on yourself, prior to eating, your blood sugar would probably be around 120-130 after eating it would be around 160, once your sugar returned to 120-130 you could assume that your body had processed the sugars/nutrients.

The insulin could be very well having an anabolic effect, I know that I couldn't even put on 1lb of fat (or muscle) prior to the day I started taking insulin, now I must admit I am injecting way more than perscribed and I have actually been hypoglycemic once before because I stacked too much insulin.

I don't know, I am really going to start focusing in on power increases and im going to start keeping a detailed log with every calorie, protein, fat and carbo eaten.. Its time to get serious ab out this, and up untill now I haven't been serious enough

Thats what I was referring to. So yes - you may develop tissue at a faster rate...you may. However - you will most likely add some decent amount of fat. Anyway - now that we know this I would say:
1 - Get your diet in check - it's way off.
2 - Slin is no joke - be careful.
3 - Repeat suggestions 1 and 2..over and over and over.
