Diet to BULK UP?

slin is no joke, that is correct, but you have to realize for me its not a big deal.

I produce 0 natural insulin, so any insulin in my body is due to myself injecting it, this being true I do not share the common risks that a normal healthy human w/o diabetis has.. I am aware of the dangers of SLIN.

I am going to get my diet in check, I agree with you, I may be overloading.. once I get an absolute count of calories etc I will know better, yesterday I know I ate 3000cals just in meat alone, and I ate a lot of other stuff yesterday so.. I probably went over 5KCals which isn't necessary.

I am working on all docs now so I can keep everything in line, its much easier to follow a routine once you have it written down :)

Sorry for jacking the OP, BTW!

Also, prior to taking insulin (about 4 weeks ago) I was practically emaciated my body wasn't responding to food.. I mean 6'3 155lbs you think about that.. 175lbs is a natural weight for me.. so perhaps my gains were just that of starving muscles finally getting the fuel they have wanted.. I don't know :) ill leave this as my last post here, and save everything else for my upcoming training log.

I suppose you can provide supporting articles for this? 2 pounds per month sounds extremely low, I would say probably 1/3 is water 1/3 is actual food waiting to be processed and 1/3 is muscle.. or within that range

this morning I am 173, down 8 pounds from my highest yesterday, so obviously i have quite a bit of water.

If those calcs were true, or close, that would leave about 2lbs per week of muscle gain, or 6 pounds this month.. i don't think that is unreasonable
2 pounds of lean tissue a month may "sound" low, but its closer to reality than most claims. This still means 24 pounds a year, which is a whole lot of weight. Go to the grocery store and lay out 24 one-pound steaks and tell me that if you stuffed them under your skin you would consider that "low" size gains.

6 pounds of lean tissue for a noob on insulin may be possible. I would also account for some amount of fat gain.

You should start weighing yourself at consistent times under consistent conditions to get an idea of whats actually being gained. I could easily "gain" 10 pounds by weighing myself on an empty stomach and then after a big meal and a bunch of water, but those 10 pounds would be meaningless - as you can see from your 8 pound overnight weight loss.
