Dieting question, was going to post in diet but no one there

Looking for some good quick foods basically tight budget at the moment. Looking for better body for less type foods. Also easy to cook because my lady feels she not obligated to cook. And most important question I CAN'T STAND chicken breast, what part of the chicken is equal or close to the protein intake of breast?

Google is a great tool for this exact question. As far as good protein sources, eggs, tuna, turkey, beef. Tuna is a great alternative to chicken. I like to add some olive oil and maybe a little hot sauce. As far as carbs go, the list is endless...whole wheat bread, oats, sweet potatoes, yams, quinoa, etc.

There is alot of info in the diet/nutrition section. Go look around there and do some more research.

I've been at this for a while. Get a new lady who loves to cook and show her great respect and love and care the care she gives you. Chicken, Whey isolate( best price in the world at SolidMuscle LLC) and eggs.

Tuna is cheap and fair in protein, some other stuff in it not so good if you eat too much. Potatoes are obviously cheap as hell and frozen green veggies don't cost much either. Brown rice, another cheap thing. Eating healthy costing a fortune is a misconception, it can be high yes but done wisely can be very affordable. Shred your chicken breast in some rice and broccoli and should make it easier to eat.

Thanks for the info, the named items are cheap and should be fairly easy to cook

Couldn't agree more! One great way to save in general is to buy everything when it is on sale, not when it is needed. Monitor your grocery store flyers and you will eventually learn/recognize how cheap some foods will be when they go on sale.

When I buy my protein sources (for example chicken or ground beef) I wait till it goes on for as cheap as possible. I then go and buy as much as my freezer can hold, but I dont stop there. After loading my groceries into my car I'll go back into the grocery store and tell the manager working customer service there is no chicken/ground beef left and more times than not they will give you a rain check because they are too busy to check with the meat department. Technically I end up leaving with about 20 packages of whatever is on sale.

In the two years I have been living out of my parents house I have never paid full price for a protein source. I have my girlfriend to thank for giving me this tip and as a sidenote she helps with the cooking as well so I got it made!!

Another great tip (if you're a student) is most grocery stores have student night which you get a discount on groceries so this is the only night I shop, every penny counts in this lifestyle!

I am a beef guy myself, only can handle so much chicken throuhout the day
But my protein sources are tuna, chicken, egg whites, and lean ground beef
I can prep all 5 meals within 30 min, quick and easy and works, I dont use this plan, but if u like beef, lean ground beef is cheap man and taste good, very filling
Even on my cut I eat lots of lean ground beef, tracking your macros is key to sucess bro, goodluck
Here is a good video for someone that is tight on a budget

A lot of great tips on here!!! Costco is another awesome place to buy in bulk. You can get some serious protein sources for pretty cheap. Fish , beef, ground turkey etc.

-Lean beef and brown rice with a lil a1 sauce if your not cutting or franks red hot or siracha chile sauce if cutting
-Chicken breast with mustard, ketchup or fat free Italian dressing, and a sweet potato plain skin and all MMMMMM
-And if Im feeling real lazy 2 cans of tuna with a half a cup oatmeal uncooked lol yea that's right uncooked
-Also for the lazy or middle of the night, 50oz skim milk

I'm not a huge fan of chicken breast either but I started using 1 tbsp of A1 sauce and it makes it so much better. I eat about 16 oz (2X8 oz breasts) a day and 1 Tbsp of A1 makes me actually enjoy it.

dude my local store at chicken at 1.49lb for the last week because of memorial day.. i filled my freezer with 35lbs, my girlfriends freezer with 20lbs, and brought another 20lb to my parents.... usually chicken breast is around 3-6lb depending where you go and when

learning how to cook chicken where it is still juicy and not dry is a must to be able to eat a good amount of it...

370* for 37 minutes with a good marinade

or on the grill with a good rub and be sure to take em off right when their done cooking...

i used to be the same way as you, the first time i hired 3j i specifically told him NO FUCKING CHICKEN, but as i posted above i just bought 75lbs of it over the last 3 days

Dude, that is actually unreal! The cheapest I can get it for is 2.99/lb (thats boneless, skinless) with another 10% on student night. I'm jealous...

but I am treated poorly

Bro, ok, i dont like to read that, before any advice on food, im gonna give you some advice on life. If any one in your life is treating you poorly its time for them to fuck off out of your life, friends, girlfriend, it dont matter. You know you has you best interest in mind? YOU!! And if someones around who doesnt, time to go. If your girl isnt looking after you the way you want, see ya, same goes both ways, treat her like she wants too bro.

Now, i hear you on the chicken breasts, i can only do so much, i gag at them even before i start to chew lol. Extra lean ground beef is a helluva bang for your buck, eggs are too. Another thing i started to do, is look around at flyers for sales on things, you will save yourself a ton of dough doing this. Whey protein is great too. I buy whole chickens now and cook the thing up, $9 here in Canada for one and theres a few meals right there for a good price!

Yeah chicken is crazy priced here in canada, I get my chicken from sams club in the states ( border city) for 1.99lbs, compared to here at 3.99lbs lol, tons of savings right there but I do look at sales and do a lot of price matching with the superstore here as well if chicken goes on sale somewhere
Adding sauce is key to keeping to your diet, there is a lot of sauces u can use to spice things up with 0 cals, one sauce I like using on my egg whites and chicken is president choice buffalo wing sauce, 0 cals just abit high in sodium thats all, low cal ketchup is good for egg whites, and lesalsa homemade salsa is another good one too
Sauce it up, keep track of the nutrition value the sauces u use, and u will enjoy your meals a lot better as well

dude its usually 5 for skinless boneless in chicago, but i got lucky and i was just going to grab like a 3.5lb pack and i saw the sign and im luck fuck it time to spend some money as i knew i just hired 3j again and i need to take it seriously this time now that i got no added stress in my life due to work or relationships sooo its time to kill it
boneless skinless is always 1.99lb at walmart here, but 96/4 beef is like 5.75lb so I buy 93/7 for 4.75lb

90/10 ground sirloin for me is about 5/lb and i wish boneless skinless was always 1.99 lol

Couldn't agree with this more. Occasionally when multitasking I over cook my chicken and when that happens it's a bitch to choke down. My favorite ways are on a hot grill where you get a good char on the thin parts with really any kind of marinade or seasoning and to take a tablespoon of EVOO and inject the breasts with lemon juice and cook them in the cast iron skillet, if you like lemon you will love this. Typically I don't like cooking in the skillet just cuz the drippings stay but to mix up the flavor and feel like I'm not "dieting" it gives me good peace of mind and feel like I'm cheating.

And for beef, I raise my own steer and butcher 1 a year. I know exactly what he eats and what injections he's had so no added hormones go in to my butcher steer and he stays in a 1 acre corral on grass and is feed chopped corn with molasses. Best meat you'll ever have right there. The only injections I give are for preventative measures on illness.
