Diminishing Progress at 16weeks TRT

I've been on trt now for 16 weeks.
I've settled on 150mg every 4 days now along with 0.6 of Letro 2X week(only choice so far) and 500iu HCG 2Xweek. My progress has been nice and steady in the gym as far as strength, size and fat loss. But in the past 2 weeks it has taken a noticeable drop in progress and fullness as well as my energy levels.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed a decrease in their gym performance/progress after certain lengths of time on and what they did to get past it?

I'm currently also travelling in south america and diving etc(but still manage making it to the gym 4X/week and 100 minutes of walking day).. so not sure when or where I would get any blood work done here.

wow.. which idiot put you on 300mg a week with ANY letro much less the amount that you take...

0.2mg of letro is enough to kill 98% of your estrogen.. why would you do that to yourself???

of course youre getting diminishing returns..

who is running your trt?

The letro is just 1/4 of a tablet. I'm not feeling any low estrogen sides necessarily.
Ive tried , in the past 4 mths , various dosages . 150/5days, 125/3days and found this dosage of 150/4 days to have felt the best (that IS the purpose correct?)
It was just that I had always found a general progress that I was happy with in regards to energy, strength, fat loss, libido, etc.., and it has just been the last 2 weeks that I have felt a plateau in all respects which is ok I guess ...But my question was not why my estradiol has crashed because 1/4 of a tablet does not seem extreme but instead it was if anyone else had noticed a loss of progress or plateau after a certain period after starting TRT.

Yes, of course reaching a plateau is inevitable.

As far as a downturn, that too is likely on an unsustainably high TRT dose. I think I've experienced it myself.
I can't prove it conclusively, but I've seen credible arguments that low SHGB results in high levels of free T and a higher rate of excretion. It's the body's way of attempting to rid itself of excess androgens.

No doubt about it...
Past a certain point the therapeutic benefits of Testosterone are non existent and become detrimental.
That is why long term (or even short term) steroid abuse is a major culprit of people requesting or "needing higher doses" of TRT. If you have your body's receptors tuned into 9000 plus ng then being at even a thousand ng/dl won't cut it very likely.

Oh... why didn't you say it was just a quarter of a tab? Why even bother taking it at all if it is just a quarter?

What else did your source for credible arguments say about excretion?
How is Exogenous Test excreted by the body?

As I said, not definitive, but the argument made (the claim was that it came from endo textbooks) was that T bound to SHBG is protected from being broken down and that SHBG played a role in making T available to certain receptors. Low levels of SHBG result in high levels of free T and concomitant high rates of breakdown and elimination of the hormone. SHBG was likened to a buffering agent which served to smooth out levels of available T and protect it from breakdown.

This was from research conducted by a young man who was a "non responder" and had naturally low SHBG levels. If SHBG was simply there to "waste" testosterone then someone with low levels of it should have a greater, not lesser response. He had been attempting to solve this apparent contradiction.

I wish he had cited some sources, I have searched but not been able to confirm.

I agree that letro is powerful. I started taking it 7 weeks in due to rising estro and felt immediately better but accidentally I once took my dose 2 days in a row and for 3 days I felt low estro symptoms and it sucked.
I left the coast to travel through the Andes Mountains here in Ecuador and just accidentally found a blood lab on one of my walks. Looks very high end which is nice but they dont do a sensitive assay for my estradiol. Gonna head back there tomorrow to get some prices and see if I need a prescription etc (nobody spoke english when I stopped in). I keep looking for aromasin here and the hospitals say they carry it but they are always outta stock...

Traveling. I spent all of 2012 in Thailand doing lots of diving and got hooked so I'm trying to do lots of diving here in Ecuador but also traveling the rest of the country.
I'll probably end up staying 13-14 months here .
Luckily u can walk into any pharmacy or hospital pharmacy and no prescription needed. And the cities are remarkably well developed and hospitals are generally comparable to N.American . Gyms r decent, weather is good, people r nice and gals r beautiful.

When there was a miscommunication about my dosage at the start of my TRT, I was taking 1.5 ml of 200mg/ml test-cyp a week...yes, 300mg a week. My natural test level is only 150ish and my test results came back at slightly over 1200. My E2 level was in the low 90s.

Just to give you some real world numbers so you are aware. Oh, I had GREAT gains during that time - but felt like crap (I actually felt like how I think a woman probably feels on her period - it was that bad). I feel so much better now that my dosing is correct, 150mg of test-cyp a week (half the amount). Results came back two days ago, test level is 706 and E2 is 26. But the real gain is that I feel SOOO much better now.

As I said my energy , pumps, libido etc was not clicking as well the past 2 weeks . I have some proviron and decided to pop one and I gotta tell ya, I feel pretty good :)
Now, I don't know much about SHBG but from what I remember reading my lethargy may have been SHBG related as I feel pretty good now. I'll pop one tomorrow and see if it continues.
