Do alot of you guys sweat more than average?

Hell, yeah. I keep a towel over the seat in the car, wear dark colored shirts when possible. I keep the temp set to 60 degrees F daytime and 62 at night in the house, which saves money in the Puget Sound region. In the gym, there is no hope, my clothing is soaked right through in 15 minutes. I'm told by bed partners that I heat up like the "surface of the sun" at night, too.

I just read this whole thread and it's makin me pour buckets from my whole body! I seat a freakin lot (I actually am sweating right now) the slightest amount of heat and I start to get freakin wet. I only wear black or white clothes now (on cycle) to hide it a little bit - never gray!

I wouldn't mind it that much, but it's very embarrassing when your having sex with a girl, and your sweat drops from your head to her face! She thinks somethings defnately wrong with you.

I sweat WAY too much.
When I walk to the bathroom after waking up, just that gives me swamp ass. I am constantly sweating, if not on my head and face, then my ass.

It is always embarrassing, but I try hard to cover it up, always have tissues with me

sweat like crazy when i'm at my old gym, which does not have any air condition shit. now,on my new gym, i almost hardly sweat...till i go heavy weights and continuous movement. so I wear sweaters and jogging pants. the airconditioniong sucks big time...toocold really

Old thread, but I came across the forum searching sweating. I've been looking into this for over a year after putting up with it since teenage, it's been over 20years and it's got worse. I sweated before I started working out, I don't believe being a regular gym goer makes you sweat in everyday life. It may be steroids, I couldn't say bcz I've no experience of them, but it is true eating more protein than you need causes sweat, something most lifters probably do. Aside from a condition, anxiety is a big factor, and that includes anxiety about sweating in the first place. You start sweating or feel like it's coming and you get anxious, this makes you sweat more, anxiety increases further, and it repeats. People have sweat problems whether they work out or not, if it's not hyperhydrosis or another condition(eg thyroid)/reaction(eg sensitivity/allergy) it's likely anxiety. One possible reason lots of gym folk may sweat more besides using/protein/supps is gym junkies tend to be self critical and this can mean a level of anxiety too. The problem with anxious sweating is the brain gets conditioned to tell you to sweat when anxious the more you do it, it becomes a reflex response to stress/anxiety, so the condition tends to get worse unless you find a way to stop it. Ice water, some cooling cloth/clothing, relaxation time, avoiding stimulants- excessive protein, thermogenics, caffeine, chilli, etc. These just make you feel cooler, they don't stop sweats from anxiety, you've got to either physically make it impossible for the body to sweat from particular body parts via various treatments or sort out the anxiety trigger, which is psychological. The latter is bogus imo, unless you find a good hypnotherapist. Treatments include risky surgery which can make it much worse, prescription strength anti-persps which may be too severe for the face, botox which requires repeat treatments every 3-6months and will give you numbness in the treated bodypart and an expressionless face or electrotherapy of target areas.

i know the feeling, as soon i enter the gym i start to sweat, lol
as my gf hit the gym with me yesterday and just started putting the weights on the bar to perform incline bench press and started to sweat like mad, lol, exspecially on a cycle as i am right now!
at night time i have a portable a/c and the air has to blow right on me to cool me down or atleast feel comfy in order for me to sleep
WE ARE IN BEAST MODE :)

Yeah, it's the same thing with my hands, quite severe. I recommend a strong antiperspirant, like Sweat Protect (sweat-protect.com), there also are special undershirts with silver and stuff in them. Might want to try them out, worked well for me: sweating.com
Good luck, I hated running out of clothes permanently! :D

I do but I take in alot of water too. When I was younger I didn't sweat as much but as I got older and realized I needed to up my water intake I started to sweat buckets. In my line of work I have to make sure I'm hydrated 24/7 so I'm taking in tons of water and I've noticed that as my intake increases so does the sweat. Plus my home gym is outdoors and when it's 90 plus degrees I pour.

Finally people like me!!! haha xD I always sweat more than most people. I feel it comes with packing on mass as your body has to work harder to upkeep it. Try doing some cardio 3x a week so your heart works more efficiently. That has helped me stop sweating as much as well as my brother.

I have always been sweaty but on cycle I sweat profusely! In a pinch but never at the gym an antiperspirant spray, not stick, works very well for me. The cheap ones like brut seem to work the best strangely enough but again only if I absolutely need it, sweating is quite healthy I understand.
