I always bury the needle all the way. I find that if you don't, the depth can change when injecting, leaving the possibility of hitting a vein after you have aspirated.

Good point. I've heard people say that they trim the cap to use as a spacer if they need to reduce the injection depth (like if they just have 1.5s and are doing quads or bis). That way you can still bury it, but don't have to worry about movement after aspirating.

i use a 25g 1 in pin and it works just fine for me. i will have to agree with everyone one else, the odds of you breaking a pin off in you are slim to none.
