Does Adex kill your sex drive?

Private labs just emailed my results.

T Serum is at 634ng/dl

E2 <5.1 range 7.6-42.6 pg/ml

WTF how could I have crashed my E2 at .25mg ywice a week on 100mg a week of Test C?

Shouldn't I have higher T at 100mg a week as well.

I pin wednesday and saturday am, bloods were drawn 7:30 Friday.

I don't get it. I don't feel bad. Just labido is hit or miss the last 6 weeks since I started back on adex.

I guess I'll stay off adex for the rest of this month and get bloods done again. What bloodwork should I get other than the female hormone panel to see free test and all the other stuff. I don't go back to the doctor until the end of January and don't want to wait that long.

How many days from shot is that level?
50 mg x 2 ?

A lot of guys do not need an AI on the testosterone dosage. Very easy to crash your estradiol on that protocol you were following.

Female Panel should suffice. I don't think you need to spend the extra money to see your Free T. Is there something else you want to check? Maybe lipids?

Don't know if if something I need to worry about but possible DHEA, Or SHBG(or whatever it is).

Shouldn't 100mg a week register a higher T level? Should I get next bloodwork the same morning that I pin or 24 hours later? I mentioned earlier that those levels were at trough, but doesn't pinning twice a week eliminate that?

If the amount of Adex crashed me after 6 weeks, what could possible be causeing the irritability that i was experiencing? I'm not feeling that way anymore.

Maybe its in my head.

I would say no, it seems right in line for 100mg/week.

I always just measure trough, but as you said there should not be a very pronounced trough when pinning twice a week.

Everyone is different. 100mg/week will likely put you and me at different TT levels.

I would check trough levels.

Pinning twice weekly lessens the swings, but there is still a peak and trough. You would have to be on an IV drip to avoid peaks and troughs. Even Natty guys have peaks and troughs every day.

I know everybody is different. But fwiw, I'm on .75mg/2w test cyp. Along with .25 mg anastrozole twice a week. That protocol keeps my e2 in my sweet spot.

Sensitive is not so important. ....

on a non sensitive test you want your E2 over 35 but not over 50 ish.

The total levels are not near as important as the ratio between them.

Your post is interesting. You said that the sensitive test for E2 is not necessary. Others have said it is very important to get the sensitive test. Are you really sure the non-sensitive test is adequate? What is the basis for that conclusion?

Also, you said that the E2 level using the non-sensitive test should be between 35 and 50. Others have said that having E2 near 20 and not over 30 is ideal. Is that only because of the different sensitivity of the test?

What ratio of test to E2 do you think is ideal?

First, I am not presuming to answer for IMT, but I may be able to provide a little help.

You can get the regular assay for estradiol. It is cheaper and you get the results back faster. You just have to recognize that at the lower levels found in men, that it will not be as accurate. Anecdotally, we often find that it is 10-20 points overstated. So if it comes in between 35-55pg/ml that means you are likely really between 15-45pg/ml. The higher the result, the more accurate it is likely to be.

The key is getting a series of Regular Assays so that you can see what direction you are going in and also find out what range on the Regular Assay works best for you.

When we refer to what range guys feel best on with the Sensitive Assay, many say 20-30pg/ml. I kind of think 20-40pg/ml is OK. But that range need to be shifted up for the Regular Assay.

I hope that helps. We will see if IMT agrees. :-)
