Hi guys,

I posted here because I have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) (Cyp, HCG, Anti E) for about 6-8 months. My sex drive came back strong when I started, but most of the other symptoms that I was having are still in full force. Just before starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) my doc put me on 150 mcg of Synthroid daily. When I got follow up bloodwork mytest level was 957, and my TSH was 1.068 (ref .350- 4.50), T3 132.4 (ref 80-204), Free T4 1.33 (ref .80-1.80). The doc said that my numbers looked fine. The one surprise was that my fasted blood glucose was 105. He said not to worry because I had eaten breakfast. This morning, I was checking my 14 year olds blood sugar because he has type 1. Just for the hell of it I check my bllod sugar and it is 130. It was 7am, and I had not eaten since about 7pm yesterday. Nothing but water last night. I got out another monitor and checked again, and it was 112. Should I be alarmed by this, and is this the reason I feel so shitty?

what are your estro levels? and how much of cyp, hcg and Aromatase inhibitor (AI) are you taking, and what anti are you taking?

yeah I'd do a glucose-insulin tolerance test...go see your doc. Also check your shbg level. I prefer armor thyroid over any thyroid med because it's balanced. Please also monitor your testosterone and estrogen levels. If your estrogen is high this can cause insulin resistance.

My Estrogen levels were 94, my dose was upped , and they dropped to 61.

150 mg test cyp every 5 days
HCG- I pull up 25 in the syringe
Anastrozole 1mg cap every other day

61 is still high, try to bring it down to around 17-25, hcg looks good, thats 250 iu's 150 mlg cyp e5d, is good as well, it could be other factors contributing to this such as shbg?

Probably the only way you are going to reduce your E2 levels is by slightly reducing the amount of test, to say 125 mg, since your anastrozole dosage is high enough (how is your weight?).

Your glucose in borderline high but its significance could be easily verified with a hemoglobin a1c level.

Your symptoms are a puzzle since all of your labs don't look that far out of wack.

I'm 6'5 and about 285 lbs. I have tried losing weight, but it won't budge. To cut to the point, I'm fat. I have abs at about 235 lbs, which I had less than 2 years ago. I feel like a different person now.

the more you weigh and amount of BF you have, you will convert more of your testosterone to estrogen, meaning higher estradiol,i myself had the same thing happen,i took aromasin at a high dose and lowered mine and still take it to keep my estrogen down, and no fun intended, try and lose some BF,it will help you alot,i done it and it really helped me alot,im your size as well,i was 6'5 and 275 and since july, ive lost done to 260 and now im at 16-17%BF and still trying to get to less than 15%,and i feel much better

Higher estradiol will have the same excat symptoms as low test levels, once i got my estrogen under control,my symptoms got better fast

You might want to do a little online research about "metabolic syndrome" because some of your issues seem to fit into that area.

Thanks for the reply. I know for sure that I would feel better if I lost weight. Hell, I have never been so depressed in my life over the way I look. The issue is that I have never had such a hard time trying to drop bodyfat. Earlier this year I had someone from this site helping me with my diet, and I had a personal trainer pushing me along. After being pretty unsuccessful on a standard diet and 4x a week exercise routine I resorted to training 2x a day while only eating low GI veggies and lean protein. For all the hard work I was losing 1/2 lb a week, and spending a bundle of time and money. After a few months I threw in the towel. From all of the cardio I was beat to shit. The upside is that I went back to my same old eating routine, and I did not gain any appreciable amount of weight as I thought I would. I'd like to give it another go, but I'm not going to do anything until I can get some of my medical issues out of the way. I own a business, and what energy I have available is pretty precious. Diet and exercise is important, but I need results if it is going to interfere with my financial well being.
