I was just getting ready to start taking a cycle of tesosterone and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Dr put me on meds most likely for life. I will be going back to the Dr fairly regularly to get blood test to get the meds regulated. What impact would testosterone have on getting my thyroid levels regulated with the meds? I am guessing it would really mess with the blood test. Any thoughts appreiciated!

Ok so...
Low thyroid hormones T3 and T4 means you have more free testosterone. They probably put you on T4 which is converted into T3 in the body. T3 will boost your overall testosterone, but also boost your SHBG levels, so less test will be "free". Thats ok, your overall endogenous test will increase. You just need to do things to fight SHBG like Winstrol (winny), palmitate (palm oil) and/or sugar when you want to free up some T temporarily. But having your test bound up in SHBG is good because it prevents test breakdown and will allow you to get to higher blood levels of test, just know how to free it up when you need to use it

You should get your thyroid meds dialed in before you start aas.

I have a hypo, been on meds for a few years now, once the doc gets you at the right dosage, the bloodwork will only be once a year or so, less if you feel ok. some steroids mess with your meds, like tren, it slows your thyroid even on meds, there's alot of info you'll need to become familiar with, take a half year or so and start reading
That is very interesting. Eight months ago I was about a week into a cycle of tren when I devoloped dermographism. I immediately discontinued the Tren. Now I no that it was caused by my thyroid. I have an obvious gentic link to hypothyroidism (mom, sister & aunt). Afte 8 months I finally went to the Dr to find out what was wrong. He ordered blood work which came back with my TSH level at 63.8 which is 20 times the high end of the range it is supposed to be. I was on a 6 week cycle of tren about about 18 months ago and had similar skin issues just not as bad. What is more likely, the tren is what caused the thyroid issue or it just worsend (temporarily or permanantly) and exposed the underlying gentic issue that I was already exposed to? Also, could test or tren have had a lasting effect on my thyroid? btw I didn't start any thyroid meds until today.

I too have hypothyroidism, and have often wondered if I suffer from low T. In my late teens i became severely depressed, and have experienced on more than one occasion...ahem...troubles in the bedroom as it were (I believe this could also be performance anxiety though, as it's too common). Regardless, my TSH is checked regularly, but unfortunately because of the area I live, I cant have my free T3/T4 tested. According to my TSH however, I'm good at 175mcg of synthroid a day. I always feel tired though, and I feel like I'm 35, not 25 like I should feel. I've also had my bound testosterone tested, but it was normal (again, no tests available for free test).

That is a boat load of T4 to be on. You are probably a thyroid tissue resistant patient and you are probably not properly converting T4 into T3, thus leaving you feeling hypothyroid. I am sure you have high levels of Reverse T3 in your system as well. The best thing you can probably do is get on T3 only. However, in the meantime, do some research on Reverse T3, etc.

Is it really that high? When I weighed my heaviest at 345 lbs, I believe I was up to 275mcg a day

Yeah man, that is pretty freaking high. I have a uncle who had a thyroid removed and he is on 200mcg. The usual starting dose is 50mcg but I have seen higher. What you want to do is test your RT3 and see what ratio between your RT3 and your Free T3 and see if it is pooling in your blood.
