Evening meals

I usually go to the gym around 6-8pm and am starving after. I really don't want to eat after those hours so I don't store fat as I sleep but man, I get REAL hungry and don't know what I am allowed to eat. Do I eat chicken, tuna or just a salad?? or something?

I would take some WMS immediately after your workout. Then drink a shake.

If you go to bed late you can add in a solid protein meal after that. You will need to do some trial and error to see what works for you, but you should be consuming something after your workout. You need to give your body the fuel it needs for recovery.

eating late in the day in no way affects whether its stored as fat or not.

i eat the majority of my calories PWO and late at night.

WMS?? Also, I guess I didn't word it right but I meant that I didn't want to carb up that late and go to bed after.

"Don't taze me, bro" lol too funny.

I agree with suareezay If you dont overeat in general there is no way that a late night meal is gonna make you fat. it calories in vs calories no matter when you eat it. and skipping eating after training just because it late is just plainj stupid

if your hungry your body's trying to tell you somthing it needs to refule dont ignore it

I get in from the gym at the same time as you bro.

In that time I have a shake and then normally 400g of ground beef and a cup of brown rice.

Your still catabolic for a number of hours so the food won't convert to fat and also as its sat in your body your fueling you muscles through the night! As long as its high protien, medium carb and low fat, youll be sound!

All great advice here bro so I'll ditto it!
...and just to add my .02 cents, I was in the same boat at one time. At that point the earliest I could get to the gym was 6 or later and the fact that I'm an EASY GAINER to the N'th degree, it would scare me to eat after 7 or 8pm but I learned that if my diet throughout the day was on and my workout's/training always intense... I was ok! I was just careful not to carb up to much (if at all) during a later meal. I actually still do what Cardiff does... later in the evening when home from the gym, I start that Whey shake while cooking... then usually follow it with a chicken breast/lean meat and a veggie. ...if still hungry at bedtime, I usually have a bowl of bran cereal, tsp of peanut butter, or like a protein bar. I've noticed no real fat gain or storage as a result.
I quickly learned that my fears were based off my younger days of late night 6-packs and a pizza or wings.. ya, now that will store as fat!..lol. :laugh3:
