Training for Family
Wow, fun thread, not a little of info but very entertaining.
Cobra, if that's you in the pic, you look good and 450 with quality, non air humping, form is more than enough to bench and more than enough strenth to use to your advantage in a fight. BTW - You don't look full of water either.
Cosagorda - If you're actually talkin war, then that would come down to how well you shoot and who's fighting to protect their home, not what you bench. I have fought MMA and running 6 miles with a pack of rocks won't help you. It's a completely different type of cardio.
Not trying to fight with you bro, but if someone's offering me advise on something I should or shouldn't take, especially if it's money wasted or well spent, I'll take their opinion, whether I agree with it or not, and still use it in my decision making.
Finally, my best friend is a marine and one thing he doesn't do is brag about fighting. He will talk with you about firearm training and what he can or can't shoot at distances but humility is much better than going back and forth with someone when you're trying to get some feedback.
Good luck to you brother. Good rule of thumb, most things that you can buy in a bottle at your local store aren't gonna help you that much except for a few quality proven staples, like protein, aminos, etc.
