Experience with Citrulline

Been really interested in this recently after hearing John Meadows talk about it for cutting. Some people say it works, others it's a fad. I've tried citrulline malate before, but I'm not sure if it actually did anything. Does anyone have any personal experience with the injectable citrulline?

Tried it pre workout, didn't do too much. Made me sweat a lil more that's about it
