Feel like giving up on this TRT, Doctors are unknowledgable

Started TRT 4 months ago, been receiving amazing advice/info on here. Thanks again

so i been on 100mg a week, last testosterone serum came in at 411 (ref range 350-1200)
Primary said she wants to leave it at that dose since it has gone up, (i requested to raise dose)

Im not sure if i dont understand the science behind this but from my knowledge, it will not increase unless my dose is increased. Told my Primary about my nodule under my nipple and they said it is normal from the hormones, didnt check estrogen.

Anyways, i saw my urologist today in hopes of some insight. He looks over my blood test and say 411 is good, and all my other tests were good(FSH LH and Prolactin) Well i got my test prior to seeing him and my LH and FSH are not even readable so i dont see how that is normal?
Asked urologist about my right nipple nodule and sensitivity, said its from an increase in estrogen and suggests i stop testosterone entirely..... Are you serious? After he said that, i just nodded on anything he said and walked out. How are these people doctors?

So my last hope is my endocrinologist... I requested a referral so i will be seeing them. I dont know what to do. Im thinking about doing a estradiol test from privatelabs, but i dont know which one is best, and then supplementing myself with anastrozole that i can get from a UG source.

I want to do a TRT clinic, but at the moment, i can not afford 300$ a month (my insurance pays for everything so im hoping to stick under that) But at this time, i just want to be healthy.

Suggestions? Thank you guys

Don't give up. Just find a new doctor.

Or supplement your dose with UGL gear and run your own blood work. You will need an AI and hCG too.

The problem with UGL steroids is lack of knowledge what's really in the vial. You can't be sure what you're getting, but blood test would sure let you know if it's working or not.

X2 w/ Mega.

Sorry to hear your doctors are idiots. FSH and LH will always be nil on testosterone, no need for your balls to produce test if you're shooting it into your body. My .02 - I'm on TRT and spend less than $200 / month including HCG (you didn't mention it and I'll assume with the shit advice your dr's are giving they didn't prescribe it). Gotta pay to play and if it's having shitty medical resources and feeling like crap or sacrificing some cash, i'd choose my health and safety every time. Good luck.

I had a similar experience about 3 years ago. And I did give up. And I still felt like shit. What I finally ended up doing was googling my health insurance network name in combination with TRT, TRT doctors, TRT treatment, etc. I found a couple endocrinologists in my network that have written papers on TRT, given presentations on TRT, and actually understand how it works. I asked my PCP for a referral to one of the endo's. I'm working with him now. We're still figuring out what's right for me, but he gets it. Hope this helps.....

If you have a trusted source and are getting test c it's almost garunteed to be test c. Perhaps the concentration is off by a little bit, yes. But you even run this risk getting your test from a licensed compounding pharmacy from a script.

Pickup some T from a sponsor and get your blood work done at your primary still.

hows it going with this so far? made any progress?

I think most of us have gone through this. I was shocked to see how little my pcp, and two endocrinologists understood trt. I'm still using a trt clinic, and though I scoffed at it in the beginning they are the only ones that have truly understood my condition.

What do those endo's study in school anyway?

Endocrinologist's treat fat women and people with diabetes. 99% of the Endo's I have ran into know very little about TRT.

They all say the same thing. "Stop everything and retest in 3 months" lol

Its like duh of course his T would be low then lol. Truly a sad time we live in, doctors would rather give you depression meds which a symptom of the med is suicide, instead of supplementing a hormone to healthy levels that is found naturally in our bodies.

Thank god for boards like this. This is where I started, when I was just a wee newb :)

Its a miracle those wanna be endos learn anything at all anymore with all the partying university kids do these days. Just look at all the college porn videos and man, what a degenerative generation we have now, going straight down the toilet. Good videos though lol

So IMT says they're treating fat chicks, and appleton111 pegged them as party-ridden-porn fiends...Love it! That shit cracked me up! Be great to hear their take on this - any endo's ever pop there head in and comment on the boards?...damned if i've ever seen it.

Id pay for a front row seat to that, to have the university trained endos come up in here and go up against our brotherhood! This site is a far better learning institution than any school out there in the real world. I have personally learned more from those here, Mods, Senior members, DPR, Veterans than from any college text book I've read. Respect!

damn, and to think how common it must be for guys to have such lame Dr's

You got some great advice here, keep shopping around for a new Dr or clinic that takes your insurance, or just supplement the measly dose they are giving you with UGL test. just let it drop before blood work.

and get your own AI, and do your own bloods.

First off i want to say you guys are seriously a brother hood like said above ^^^ if it wasn't for you guys id be on 50mg of test a week and popping non stop xanax and anti depressant meds.

So my update:
My doctor messed up and wrote my script wrong so she up'd me to 200mg a week, thank you! haha so i have a refill on it and going to run with that. since 100mg a week had me at 411ng (ref 350-1200).

I just purchased some UGL Anastrozole, and just need your guys opinion on what estrogen test from privatelabs i should get, there's estrogen total, estrogen sensitive and another one. I want to get it tested before i start the anastrozole.

Im thinking of doing .25mg of anastrozole twice a week, opinions?

And so what brought me into the whole TRT is horrible anxiety. I ran steroids wrongly and im guessing i shut my HPTA completely off( lack of knowledge on this because my doctors didnt test what hypogonadism i had and never attempted to restart my HPTA) 3 months after my last cycle i had horrible anxiety and panic attacks, got a blood test and testosterone was at 247, month later dropped to 239. Started TRT. (now we are about 4 months on TRT presently)

Anyways, the anxiety subsided a bit, but not completely gone. I started the 200 mg a week when my doctor messed up, and my anxiety completely subsided for 2 weeks, and now came back (still better then pre-TRT) completely loss my libido, and tired, and brain fog as well. My guess is my estrogen caught up to my higher test dose, Whats your opinions on that?

My ultimate goal is i feel when my hormones are dialed in, this anxiety will finally be alleviated. Can High estrogen being the reason behind all this? Once i get your guys advice on what blood test i should order, i will get it this week asap. My anastrozole will be here in about two days as well.

Again thank you all for everything, seriously, life savers.

On my endo, i see my primary on the 19th to ask for a referral, but my primary is the one who said my nodule under my nipple was normal and didn't think it was necessary to even test estrogen levels, so i don't even think I'm going to get to see this Endo at all, and from the sounds of it, i think i just saved myself alot of time lol.

I'd look for pharma adex, not UGL even India pharma is more reliable than UGL. It's pretty easy to find adex in pharma grade. I'd also start at .25 mg a week and adjust from there.
If my e2 gets low I get sleepy and a little anxious.

Just get the standard female hormone panel from labsmd or privatemdlabs. It will give you the estradiol level you need as well as show you your testosterone level.

Ugl arimidex? The research grade liquid arimidex preparations are legit and well dosed. If u wanna split pills and get a **** digital scale more power to ya.

Endo's job is to keep patients alive just long enough to pay their overpriced office visits. I'm trying to figure out who their patients are that give them good reviews... secondly we need to start using online review Dr sites. Dont write a scathing review, the goal is to steer men who are scared with low t to good drs, so I use the phrase "does not treat men who need hrt".

Lastly the goal is to get a legit script for test. Ai's n HCG can be found and are very affordable. So about all you can do is ask the doc about fertility. If they don't suggest hcg they don't know about it they won't know about Ai's either and it's unlikely they will be open to being educated by a patient. My doc was smart enough to figure out why hcg would be beneficial at my suggestion but wouldn't write the script for it.
