IIFYM works, but there are some things i agree and some i dont. The small intestine doesnt know the name of the food you eat, it recognize macros (carbs, protein, fat), 15g fat from EVOO is the same as 15g fat from butter, just because its healthier doesnt mean it cant get stored as fat.
What i dont agree is the calorie from carb and protein is the same from calorie from fat, protein has the highest thermic effect out of all the macros, then carbs and fat is the lowest. Also insulin plays a big BIG role, 3000 calories from carbs and protein is much different than 3000 calories from fat and protein.
IIFYM dont recommend you eat shit food all the time, you must get atleast 30-40g fiber and all your micronutrients from whole foods, including fruits and vegetables, if you eat all junk you wont be able to hit your fiber and get all your micros.

Yea...you haven't really got a good grasp of IIFYM.
If It Fits Your Macros - the calories, protein, carbs & fats stay the same.
IIFYM doesn't mean you can eat 3,000 calories of anything, it means as long as your macros are the same (protein, carbs, fats) they can come from any food source.

Whats the dif between red meat and chicken, I for one love lean ground beef, steak ect, so can one eat red meat with no chicken ect and stay lean as well

Of course you can :)
As long as your calories, protein, fat, carbs macros for the day are the same, it simply doesn't matter where you get them from.

With red meat obviously the fat might be slightly higher than chicken, but you could just use a leaner piece and your good to go.

Yeah was planning on upping my cals and lean ground beef offers more cals cause of the fat content compared to chicken and tuna, plus it makes me fuller as well I find, u think 90g fat for my macros is fine or sjould it be lowered, upping the cals to 4100 from 3600
Bumping my protein intake from 330 to 400g per day
Mind u I use shakes and drink egg whites straight inbetween meals to hit my 400g pro per day as well
My goal is to get up to 250 before I cut, but to keep it as lean as possible, no rush
What u think my bf is sitting at right now looking at my pics
Currently at 220 at 5'10

My humble opinion, around 20%. I'm your same height but at 175 around 12-13% you can plainly see my top four abs clearly cut out.

Dont get hung up on BF % unless you go and get submerged or have a body scan you wont know for sure.
Someone whos shredded and dry will be judged to be lower than someone whos shredded but holding water when in fact they are the same level of BF.

ITS HOW YOU LOOK THAT MATTERS

You come here giving advice like you're a fucking guru and knows it all.
I already know what it is, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Proto, RippedZilla from my understanding is a nutritionist/trainer in his own right. He's never claimed to know it all but when it comes to diet and training he is one of THE MOST knowledgeable guys on this forum. Bar none. I haven't seen much AAS advice from him but diet and training the guy knows his shit no questions asked.

I don't mean to offend you but he part of your original quote that he bolded shows you don't fully understand what IIFYM or DCA is. That's not an insult from him or me not is it meant to be.

Dreday187 said:
The ideology behind DCA is this; energy and macronutrient intake must be specifically calibrated to the needs of the individual or user in accordance with their current state (stats) and future state (goals). Once calorie levels have been determined, macros must then be allotted to at least meet the minimum nutritional needs of the essential macronutrients; i.e. dietary fat and protein intake (that's right, carbs are NON-essential). Once you have these numbers, DCA says "the majority of your food intake should be coming from whole-and-minimally-processed-foods so as to provide sufficient micronutrients, fiber, and satiating power. Once these 'needs' have been met, the remainder of your intake can come from 'fun' foods or foods you wouldn't see in a typical bodybuilder diet".

This is my attempt at explaining DCA and IIFYM if you're interested in reading it.

Your previous response which I highlighted in BOLD showed that you had no idea what IIFYM is, either that or you clearly don't have a good grasp of expressing yourself on a forum.
I corrected your incorrect statement in a polite manner and you act defensive because you realise you got it wrong. In a previous forum where you gave animal studies by Layne Norton to express your view I had to do the exact same thing.

As Dre kindly pointed out, I do this shit for a living - people pay me good money to help them cut in a quick and responsible fashion.
I have never pretended to be a "guru" on AAS use, in fact the reason I'm on here is to learn about it in case I decide to take the leap in the future.
However, when it comes to losing fat (and everything associated with it) I am a "fucking guru and know it all" :)

I have no problem in you refusing to learn and believing what you want to believe, but once you start giving advice based on your incorrect beliefs, I will correct you - every single time.

The last thing I want is a newbie or guest browsing these forums to see your views and take them as facts, that's why I keep correcting your bullshit :)

If you saw that guy, what BF% would you gauge him at?

Now, if I posted his picture three days after a carb binge where he took in maintenance calories and hadn't accumulated any fat you would definitely say he was higher based on how he looks.

I hope I have made my point with that.
