filters for homebrewing

Does anyone have experience with large quantity filters for homebrewing. I'm sick of these damn .45 whatman filters. I want a closed system too. I went on researchlabsupply.com and they have a ton of shit on there and i'm kinda confused. What is the easiest, most sanitary and relatively cheap. I'm making tren.

The Nalgene vacuum filter sounds good, what else do I need with that? Do I have to buy one of those pumps or can I use a hand pump like one that comes with a bloodpressure strap that nurses carry around. I've got one of those. How much pressure do I need to maintain?

What kind of replacement filters does it take? What size diameter. I assume I should use .45 nanometer like I do with the whatman filters but on that site all the large quantity filters were .22 nanometer for some reason. Why is that?

thanks,
jonj
