First Day HIIT Training

Just before i started my cardio this morning i decided to switch it up and try some HIIT training for the first time. I am glad i did. It was such a big differance compared to my reg cardio routine. I was sweating buckets throughout the 45 min. Im definately going to start doing more HIIT from now on!

I love HiiT too, find it alot more rewarding than SSCV

Just my 2p though

Becuase HiiT is so intensive its best done after 2 meals or so in order to ensure glycogen stores are full, and help ensure your primed anabolic before doing a very catabolic training session.

I'm not quite sure how you managed 45 minutes of hit. For me ill do a 5 minute warm up, then will run with a 1:1 split. 30 seconds best effort, 30 seconds active recovery. Best effort will be something like 5% gradient sprints at 19km/hr. Then recovery will be walking at 6km/hr at a 5% gradient and so on.

If im using the rower then ill aim for 500m times of less the 1:50's.

You keeping a general training log anywhere?

I dont keep any logs on this forum but i do take note of my gains/losses and body comp. Im currently on cycle and bulking. I try to do cardio at least 3 times a week. Im at the end of my 5th week and gained 15lbs while running just test cyp.

Btw, my HIIT training was similar to what you mentioned. I warmed up for 5 min, high intensity for 30 sec, recovered for 3 min and repeated.

I injured my back and neck about five years ago and ended up having to go under the knife. since then I only regained about 75% of my strength and mobility. That is until my doctor tested me for low T. He put me on 200 mg of testosterone cypionate every week and I have made more improvement in the last 2 months than in the last 5 years. I'm reading everything I can on here so I can make a fairly educated approach to rebuilding my body. The question I have is what should I do next moving forward?
