First Quad Pin.....HOLY SH*T!

just tried this spot for the first time yesterday afternoon. it's a little lower than i usually pin. must have passed through like 4 veins and i felt every one of them lol. pulled out and blood projectile gushed out and stained my sheets haha. had to hold a cotton ball to it for a couple mins. now, the next day i can hardly get up a flight of stairs haha.

moral of the story....everyone's body is different and what works for one, may not work for another....just gotta keep tryin till you find YOUR sweet spot. i'll give it another try tho before i throw it out the window lol.

Damn, now i feel bad haha, ya ive had a few gushers in my day, first time it happens its like WTF!!

no worries man. i toughed it out and got all 2mL in despite the sting of puncturing blood vessels. not your fault. my whole thigh is a freakin minefield of veins and nerves so i'm used to it. still my favorite spot to pin for some reason.

I keep hitting a spot in my left glute that bleeds like whoa and definitely feels like I am hitting something I shouldn't, so I pull out to re-pin and blood runs out quickly. Never had it on my right side though. However, yesterday was the first time I ever saw blood when I aspirated. I was shocked because they say it is so rare, and out of probably close to a couple hundred pins, that was the first. I was actually determining that aspirating was pointless until yesterday.
