First shot question

While self administering my first shot I broke into a ball of sweat almost instantly and it felt like my heart was gonna pound out of my chest. I feel better now but wanted to know if that is a normal reaction. I went into it as calm as u could be. It came on fast almost the second i started injecting.

wow just relax. i push the needle in real slow and barely feel it. ventro glute is my favorite spot with the least pip
 
The first is the worst. Stabbing yourself is really an unnatural thing to do, so your body and mind fight it. As said, you just have to relax and power through it. It just keeps getting easier. Kind of like the little kid going down the big slide the first time. He's so scared he's almost in tears, but before long he cannot wait to go again. It's fear, It's normal, everyone deals with it.
 
Same happened to me, I was scarred. Don't worry its normal, you don't pinn yourself with needles everyday so its a new scary experience. 1st pinn is the toughest, I bet 5+ attempts were made. 2nd injection could be almost the same lol

I pinned B12 daily a long time ago. That was my first experience with IM pins. I remember the first time, I closed my eyes and just jammed it in. I think it was the worst thing ever. Once you see the thing dangle from your leg it's all over after that. No issues with future pins. I go nice and easy now, no more jabbing just a smooth push in. Time to toughen up!
 
IM is always daunting on the first ( even second & more ) time. I think it must have something to do with driving a long metal tube an inch or more into your very own flesh....of COURSE you're gonna get a bit freaked out! After a while though, you won't even think about it:)

OH!! Let us know how your pip is tomorrow! Virgin muscle....you're gonna feel like you've been kicked by a mule!
 
My FAIL shot

OK i didn't tell the whole story where i was a bit embarrassed. After i broke into a ball of sweat and my heart started pounding through my chest i was only half way through the shot. The more i pushed the syringe the worse it got... so i pulled out. i only got about 3/4 of a ml in. All i could think was FAIL. I was to shook up to re inject and try to finish. I still have the 1/4 shot left and debating on taking it before my next scheduled shot. next shot is fri. should i just take it or has it been in the syringe to long after use? I don't know what to do
 
Is your source reputable? Has anyone else you no used his gear? Dont want to be pinning bunk garbage.... what are you using? Test?

Toss the syringe into your sharps collector. Friday will come soon enough, just work on relaxing so your next pin isn't so hair raising. It might help to look away as well, seeing the needle pierce your skin and watching that oil take an eternity to leave the barrel only adds fuel to the fire going on in your head. Take a nice hot shower before you pin with some good deep breaths, calm yourself down and eventually you'll be looking forward to sticking that little piece of steel into your body. ;)

The injection went fine, bounced the needle a couple times and went right in all the way, buried the pin. I was thinking ok this was going well. Till i started injecting. maybe it is in my head, i will take the loss on the 1/4 ml of test and start over on fri
