Foods to help Stomach?

Dlove

Product of Test
Since training and eating heavy about 5 yrs. ago my stomach is completely fucked. I have gotten more tests and have been hospitalized more times than you can imagine. The x-rays and blood-tests never show a thing. I know it has to be from eating heavy. My diet is not that bad though it consists of oats-eggs, steak-rice, chicken-yams, fish and rice and I incorporate lots of fresh vegetables and fruits daily. I have been on and off milk-thistle I have been out for about 5 days and needless to say Ive been hurting like hell, it could be a coincidence.

The symptoms are constant burning belly, diahrea, bloat and sometimes cramps. Anyone else have problems with their stomach since eating a recommended high protein/calorie diet?

My guess with this limited amount of information.....something you are eating doesn't agree with you. Have you tried cutting certain things out? My guess........eggs.

Your weight, height, calorie intake and macro intake daily please. What do you cycle?

What is your blood pH level?

This could be a number of things....I'd like a little bit more information.

Also, what do the doctors say ........and this could be something besides a stomach problem like IBS.

This may seem like a stomach problem, but it could be that it is only a stomach symptom of another serious problem.

Sounds like you have IBS.....

Let me ask you what foods typically cause you to feel the discomfort? Spicy, High Fat, ect....

how do you react to just drinking milk.

Do you have to #2 very shortly after eating above mentioned foods?

Have you ever had heartburn?

Let me know and i might have some advice for ya.

The symptoms of IBS
Most people's symptoms are so mild that they don't bother to see a doctor about them. However, some people can have symptoms that are more troublesome, especially abdominal cramps, bloating and diarrhoea. People with more severe IBS are usually affected by one symptom more than the others - either pain, constipation or chronic diarrhoea.

The most common symptom is abdominal pain, which some people describe as aching or colicky. The pain may be mild or severe, and may be made either better or worse by opening the bowels, passing wind or eating. Pain may recur at a particular time of day, often in the evening.

^^sound right ?

High Fat definitely. I try to keep it clean but it got real bad after a nasty double quarter from McD's. Milk kills me! I always have number 2 after eating.

I dont seem to have a problem with eggs or oats or steaks aor chicken. I just literally cant go off my guard once without having problems.

Im going to the doc again an telling him I think it's IBS.

I have big time digestion problems and find that the following items have helped:

- Acidophilis (pro-boitic)
- Ginger Root
- Bromelin

I take these with every meal and I have noticed huge improvements.

easto i agree--i have romaine lettuce w\5 meals and ginger root\acidopholus\bromelein and a good digestive enzyme blend and i am good.

My digestion is shitty if i dont take care of it.

Just wanted to chime in here DLOVE.

Out of no where about 1.5 years ago i became lactose intollerant. After drinking so much milk etc my body just basically said no. I would get bloated for hours on end and nothing would help. I cut out all milk and dairy even yougurts and noticed difference after a few months. Anything more than 2 cups of oats per day gives me bloating beyond belief.

Also there has been a study done by SKIP over at IM that shows how kids that dont drink milk get more benefits.

Hope this helps.
Dirk is oging to chime in here w\some great advice --he knows his stuff

Side note...Take Ginger prior to a big meal. It helps with digestion.
