Hello all well it was a good day I went to my endo today and after az month of 75mcg of levothroid, my tsh levels went from the first two readings of 7.5 and 11.1 down to 5.5. And my testosterone went up to 410, originally being 310. It was a good day, turns out I may recover fully naturally. My question is I have a month till my next appointment and my dose of levothroid is up to 100mcg. I have an Anabolic Innovations swole stack sitting around. Would it be beneficial to take it? Or should I not involve any natty test boosters for now? Also, the endo still seemed to be ok with prescribing me testosterone if I wanted to. At what levels should I be satisfied and completely rule this out? Would you guys get on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) in my position if my levels don't go as high as say 500? Thanks again for the help and a shoutout to cjw I appreciate his continuous device

Btw I'm 18 years old, 145 pounds (formerly 220 at 40% body fat 2 years ago) and have been lifting weights for two years. My hypothyroid is genetic as my mom also has it

You may need t3. These herbs and stuff sometimes have multiple undesirable effects and should not be depended upon to short term boost the endrocrine system because that is all they will do if they even do that. 410 is not anywhere near high enough bro.

K I guess I'll keep away from all these herbs and supplements. And yeah I saw your pm, I'm gonna aim for that 800 like you suggested. But as for t3 my endo clearly stated yesterday that he doesn't believe in T3 and that T4 is the way to go. :/

Your MD is sadly misinformed. T4 only treatment is old school and a thing of the past. T4 is not an active thyroid hormone and needs to be converted into T3 (The active hornmone). There are very very few people who can do well on T4 only. And by doing well, I mean doing well at first, but you will have to continually up your T4 dose as you are doing so right now and hypothyroid symptoms will start again. I call these MD's TSH Doctors.

That is the only number they care about is the TSH. The question is: How do you feel? Synthroid & Levothyroxine made me feel terrible with a lot of anxiety. The best thing to try is a T4/T3 combo like Armor. Having that T3 in the mix really makes a difference. Google search for a website called "Stop the Thyroid Madness." and it will detail T4 only treatment and the negatives. This site won't let me post links so just google search it.

Well thought I would start updating from this thread since it's a little less cluttered. Things have been going great because as it turns out, the poster above (riprockwell) is also from New Mexico, and had the exact same scumbag doctor I have right now! What are the odds? I am now in touch with his thyroid doctor, and hopefully I should be able to get some sort of cytomel prescribed in the coming month. Big shout out to the rip btw, the guy has babied me through this whole process, and has really educated me on the whole process. Even though my tsh went down, I still feel like garbage all around. I will continue to update this thread as a log of my progress and in hopes that it can help others benefit.
