Front squats/zercher + box squats in same wk??

Hey, would it be alright to do some fronts or zerchers on dl or gm day (back day) and then do some hack and box squats later in the wk on leg day?? Or would this be over training?? If not, how many sets would be advisable?? reps?? I'm trying to maximize leg growth.
 
Its not overtraining. Overtraining doesnt mean you train legs or arms way too much. Overtraining is when your body is not recovered from the last workout so much that your body is in kind of a shock and you cant do anything. I know I get sick when I am overtrained and a fever. You'll be fine squatting twice a week.

try it and see.
 
WOuld back day be about the best day to do them on?? Bout how many sets/reps?? 3x10?? 2x20?? give me some pointers. Thanks.
 
depends on if its your main core movement that day or assitance work.

read my log or jcp's or black beards for ideas on how to incorporate this stuff.

the finns (awesome DL'ers) have been known to squat 3 times per week..be very careful about how you go about it..you will most likely have to do some very very light squatting in order for it not to affect your core workouts..

have you thought about doing front or zercher box squats? Travis Mash liked doing them

Have done plain ole box squats alot, but guess ive never thought about doing front or zercher box squats. Will give it a try.
Will the very very light squatting have much affect on a person growth wise?? Suppose it wouldn't hurt to try it though.

thre is no definitive answer..
everyone is different...
occasionally i sqaut 2x per week once on ME day and then again on DE day..i always use a box and as far as i can tell im just as fast on DE day even if i squatted heavy 3 days before

lite squatting is done for higher reps but can be very grueling as well. josh you just gonn ahve to try this stuff out tomsee if it works for you or not. no one knows your recovery ability better than you.
