Getting rid of loose skin...

Brat

PiNCHe GRiNGa!
Hey...I was wondering what y'all recommend, short of a tummy tuck, to help reduce the appearance of loose skin...I lost about 100 lbs last year (gained some back, but most of it was muscle)...but I still have what seems to me like a lot of loose skin around my tricep and ab area...I train my arms heavy, so when I flex you can definitely see my tris (some guys at the gym are jealous...hehe!)...but still...yeah...it's frustrating...I'm only 21, but I was carrying around all that extra weight for my whole life...I weigh less now than when I was in 5th grade!! My diet is clean, and I drink a shitload of water...damn near two gallons a day...I don't know what else to do...For the past year this has been bugging me... :redhot:

they say that milk and calcium, vitamins etc help keep the skins elasticity while losing weight.. but once skin is overly stretched, and you lose weight fast, it is hard for the skin to catch up. Same type thing as if someone grows too fast, they will get stretch marks...
Depending where your bodyfat is will also make a difference in your appearance, for example; are you sure it is just skin.. there is still layers of fat under the skin and until you are under 15% bodyfat, i would say it is not just skin, but a combination of both. When you start getting lower than 15% you will begin to be able to tell what is loose skin sitting on top of the muscle, what is fat and you will see veins... that will give you a better idea of how to approach the situation. Also TIME, as the skin heals itself a bit... keep it moistened with vitamin E, cocoa butter, maybe even try some collagen creams... but i am willing to bet there is still fat to lose which is keeping the skin thicker... Plus you are young and your skin is still thicker, so it will appear worse as well...
