Glucose Help!!

I workout to failure and often feel sick during my workout from shocking my nervous system. I try sipping gatorade throughout my workout to avoid catabolic breakdown and give myself some quick release sugars for energy; however, this always makes me feel much sicker. I was told by a trainer to supplement glucose in water with amino acids (maybe a shake of sodium) rather than gatorade.

Does anyone know how significant the benifits would be from sipping Dextrose (glucose) during a workout instead of sports drinks?? if so how much would be wise to use?

Mixed reviews on this subject... Personally I'm not a big fan of loading up with pure sugar before or during a training session, but just my opinion. What type of pre-workout meal (and times) are you having prior to a training session?? I also use the "to failure" technique and what you eat during the day and prior can make ALL THE DIFFERENCE!

i work out in the mornings, so i get up drink a whey protein shake, and eat a bowl of oatmeal. these articles both kinda relate to my question.

im not a fan of loading up on a ton of sugar either. however i have read sipping simple sugars during your workout is a plus.

just an update... i tried out the glucose today with a heavy squat/leg workout. It worked well, that is to say i didn't feel sick :)
