Had my first pin of Test E. Now it is black and blue with fluid retention.

Had my first pin of Test E last week. Went well until a couple days later the muscle became swollen and extremely painful. It started to dissipate a couple days afterwards. The second pin went the same, but in the meantime I read an article that said when it swells up it is OK to massage it even if it is very painful. The next day I woke up with the area being black and blue as well as a red area and fluid retention. The injection was in my shoulder and I have fluid all the way into my forearm. I am no longer in pain there, but it doesn't look right. I am comfortable letting it go a couple days, because I am pretty sure it is just bursted capillaries from massaging the area. I just need to know if I should be concerned more. Thanks in advance.

Something's wrong. Are you cleaning the area well before injecting ? Your not using the same needle to pin as you are to draw the juice out of the bottle are you ?

Its hard to say without seeing a pic.. Is it warm to the touch? Putting into great consideration that this is your first time pinning, sounds like it's simply just an immune response to the invasion, due to the volume/presence with hormone, carrier oil, and solvents, also the puncture alone (intramuscular injection)..Injecting anything can yield some signs of inflammation it's perfectly normal, due to the recruitment of immune cells at the site or around the surrounding tissue..

Just monitor the site, and if swelling/pain persist to get worse, go to the ER..

Try utilizing your glutes next time, it's a larger muscle and it can be more tolerable with injections compared to delts..

Did you bury the needle ALL the way in? Sounds like you didn't go deep enough, trapped oil into the subcutaneous layer, and did the worst thing you can do - massage it - which caused more of a reaction by your body. Traveling down your arm supports my theory, as that's very common when you have fluid trapped in a space that can't contain it to the same extent as a muscle belly.

If it doesn't get better in a week, or you notice spider web like veins near the site, or develop a fever - time to see a doc for that nasty b12 shot you took. ;)

NOT THIS ^^^^^ Get out of here with that nonsense. I've used the same needle so, so many times. If he didn't sterilize the site then that could maybe cause an infection. Doesn't sound like an infection at all. After a few days this site would be hot as hell and show more bad signs.

As was stated it would be better if we had a pic, but at any rate Halfwit is probably on point. Also just try your Glutes and put the needle all the way in deep.

Please do update us how it feels in 2 more days. Use your judgment in regard to the ER. Wishing you well being, the board.

Using the same pin to draw and inject means nothing. I have never used a separate needle to draw and inject. A photo would help, but I can't think of an reaction like you are describing with edema in the forearm with a deltoid injection..

If you have problems with the gear you are using each time you inject, don't use it.

I never knew so many guys pin with the same needle they drew with. I've never done it with gear, just with a slin pin and hcg.

It's just not quite as sharp. But ya know in the hospitals and doctor's offices they draw and shoot. They work sterile and use the same vial for different patients in Doc offices depending on what the med is. I've never even had a nurse aspirate and I don't.

Sorry off track here.

We pin so much we need the point to be as sharp as it can be....

I use separate needles because waiting to draw up 3cc+ sucks with a 25g needle lol. It's bad enough it can take AGES to actually inject it, but that 20g needle (or 18g) is my bestest friend for filling the syringe.

Vials don't last long enough for me to worry about stopper damage. :p

yea I've never seen that either. I always use an 18 to draw and a 23-25 to pin and use a fresh one each time for both

20 to draw and 25 to inject. I tried 23's for a bit because it's all that was in stock but apperently I'm a puss cause that 23 pin felt like a damn harpoon going in to my legs. Gave them to a friend cause that's all he uses, I'll stick with my 25's cause I can stick them just about anywhere with no pain at all.
